Jimmy Nix & Sons Apple House — Attraction in Hendersonville

I have bought apples @ Nix’s for many years. In the past we have always dealt with a young lady that has been very niece & cooperative but this year there was an older blonde haired woman who was, Down Right Nasty with us. We had called ahead & was told we could mix apples of same price in a bushel box. Drove all the way from VA to purchase several bushels of apples. Nice selection of apples including some less common varieties. The young woman working there was nice but the older one was very unpleasant. I made a couple of goofs - I cut an apple on the counter to taste after getting the ok from the young woman, and I selected from the boxes for sale rather than the "bag yourself" area. I apologized profusely but the older woman just grumbled about having "nothing better to do than clean". With so many places to buy apples in the area, no need to go somewhere...

We got a chance to stop here during the modified Apple festival. They are a friendly family and offer delicious frozen cider and hot cider donuts.
