This park is a hidden gem off of Wilson Mills road. Anytime the weather breaks in the winter my kids want me to take them to this park for the playground. There are three levels for kids to play on and large slides that my kids will attest are well built and fun to play on. The park also has many pavilions and BBQ s and on weekends I have seen birthday and graduation parties there.
There is a pool at the back of the park that is a hot spot in the summer.
The park has a concession stand that is open certain times of the year and a rather nice bathroom.
The tennis courts during good weather are usually more than half full and the baseball diamonds host a variety of games...

We've never seen it crowed. In fact we've never seen more than a few kids playing and sometimes none.
There are some benches near the play area.
We've been to the pool a number of times. The pool is nice and big. It has one large section which ramps into the pool. The ramp is great for young kids because you can choose what depth of water to be in. There is also a kiddy pool.

Read moreThis playground is the best in my opinion. I would have loved to have something like this when I was a child. There is a portion of this playground that is 3 stories tall and has 2 huge slides. Not to mention there are 4 tennis courts and in the very back is a water slide within the city pool & finally 2 baseball fields. Finding it can be a bit tricky if you're unaware of what you're looking for. Otherwise, I will continue to take my boy here...
