Best Shawarma I've had 🔥 Visited Mizrahi Grill in Highland Park, IL, and it did not disappoint. This spot is known for its authentic kosher Mediterranean and Jewish cuisine, using hormone-free meats and fresh, family recipes. I tried the kubeh, a Sephardic dumpling made from cracked wheat and filled with spiced ground beef—super flavorful. Sephardic food, by the way, comes from the Jewish communities of Spain, North Africa, and the Middle East, and it’s all about bold spices like cumin and coriander. I also had their shawarma with laffa—juicy marinated turkey and lamb, wrapped with Israeli pickles, tahini, cucumbers, and fries. It was a perfect mix of flavors in every bite. If you're craving fresh, healthy, and authentic Jewish and Middle Eastern dishes, Mizrahi Grill is a must-try. #MizrahiGrill #KosherEats #SephardicCuisine #Kubeh #Shawarma #Laffa #JewishCuisine #FoodieFinds #CaresNone #ChicagoEats #mediterraneanfood

Unbelievable quality and taste. Anytime I am working in the area, this is my lunch spot. They offer whole wheat pitas which are soft and stretchy, always fresh. The hummus is superior to any I've had before. Don't forget to ask for their hot sauce. It is homemade and a perfect level of spice to compliment your shawarma. I also love the Yemenite soup. Tastes and looks like something your grandmother would make. The staff is very, very friendly and attentive. If I could give Mizrahi more than 5 stars, I would.

This sucks we came here because they said that they were gonna donate all the money the make this evening to help Israel when we asked where the money was going they said you have to specify that it was for Israel BEFORE you order and EVEN THEN it's only 10%we told the staff and the said they couldn't do anything the MINIMUM I expect is for them to ask us if the money should go towards the fundraiser and to make it worse we only came here because of the fundraiser and this was a huge disappointment.

This place may literally be one of the best Kosher Mediterranean (Israeli) food joints I've ever been to. It is always packed with families and locals. The shawarma and kubeh are especially glorious. Pitas are thick and warm, tahini is perfectly roasty, and their hummus is good too. Two caveats: this place is not inexpensive and their counter service sometimes feels chaotic. But whew, the food is worth it!
