Once again we got lost on the trail, was supposed to be a simple walk yet short walk, nope ended up being an hour and a half hike all together and we totally ended up down by the swimming pool don't ask me how, so we had to make the long hike down the main road back to the parking lot, completely lost the trail somehow, was on a trail marked with a raccoon and end it up on a trail marked with a squirrel. Markings on trails are not very clear and confusing for someone who lives with learning disabled(dyslexia), ADHD and also directionally challenged. I think the next time we come for a visit I am going to go back to my old ways of marking the trail myself with flagging tape or something so I can find my way back out and yes I remove my marking. I try to leave no trace and also try to leave it better than I found it. I was too stressed and triggered to enjoy the...
Read moreThis was a really fun place to stop and explore. It was January so the paths were muddy. Keeping in mind a warmer time of the year may produce better paths. That being said, I never have seen anything like this in this area. This was a really cool place to explore and find things on this loop you would never see on other local hiking paths. This location is definitely a place to stop and see. Bring the kids but be aware that wagons or strollers may be tough to navigate on this loop. They also have equestrian paths here too! So much more to explore and see that the time constraints we had prevented us from seeing more. This loop trail can be done in an hr or two if you really want to take your time and enjoy. I would recommend this for anyone with hankerings to see something you don’t see on an...
Read moreThis place is beautiful, secluded and quiet! If you're reading this review I'd recommend not going here so I can continue to enjoy it by myself without any distractions or people ruining my expertly crafted photographic setups. I said this place is quiet. Don't ruin it for me. If you must go, please put some duct tape over your mouth so you don't accidentally yell, and make sure to wear seven layers of socks instead of shoes so I don't hear you walking. Well honestly I'm not a morning person so if you go in the morning I won't mind. But seriously this place is flipping gorgeous and the carvings and statues are amazing and preserved well because not a lot of people go there. Whipps Ledges is closer though you can go to whipps...
