The Hermitage is a historical museum located in Davidson County, Tennessee, United States, 10 miles east of downtown Nashville. The 1,000-acre + site was owned by Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States, from 1804 until his death at the Hermitage in 1845. It also serves as his final resting place.

When I was a child I went to school across the street. The house was so creepy I would run past it. It was so wonderful to see that it has been restored and so many of the Rosenkratz family belongings remain. My sister and I were there in May and were only able to walk the grounds. We went back earlier this month and were able to see the inside. Our Docent was very knowledgeable about the history of the house. What an amazing home it is! I had my wedding here on Sunday and it was an absolute dream! Julie and Christine were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the whole process. Jaqua hall is the perfect spot for a low key DIY wedding and it holds around 100 people. We had about 65. They provide you with tables and chairs and you can pretty much decorate it any way you want. You can do your ceremony on the grounds too. I used a lot of rental items and set up was a breeze. The photos came out spectacularly with The Hermitage as our background. The hermitage is such a gem. I enjoyed it so much, and it's definitely worth the visit and such a beautiful place to walk around inside and outside. I'm happy it's still here to teach us all about its significance to local history and New Jersey. I loved the grounds and learning about all the different flowers and plants.
