We’ve always stopped by the overlook on our visits to the area - but they’ve renovated the whole area since the last time which makes it so much better. There’s some information about the dam, and new paved areas, accessible ramp and railings. Offers beautiful views over the lake and Branson overall. Makes a great place for sunset. Only drawback in our Sunday afternoon was a comedy bus tour that offloaded a bunch of folks snd crowded the area and kept the loud engine running for 10 minutes. Wonderful view of Lake Taneycomo, Fall Creek area, the dam and Branson off in the far distance. The parking is off the road, but still can be a bit perilous with the road so nearby, so watch little children. The old ice cream shop that used to be in business across the road is closed sadly, but you can still utilize their parking area, just be careful crossing the road. The rock outcropping you can stand on at the overlook is fully fenced so safety there is ok. The only disappointing thing was that there was a lot of trash was around...
