SuperFresh Holyoke — Attraction in Holyoke

Im so disappointed with the new owners of this store. They took what was once a very affordable place for the neighborhood residents (especially the elderly without transportation) and turned it into another price gouging Hispanic corner store. A jar of spaghetti sauce $5, a friendlys ice cream $6.99 it’s a slap in the face to the community who are mostly struggling,low to low-middle class residents, many who don’t have another option as where their able to get to, to do their groceries. "Save A Lot" is more like "save a little." This store is a dump. I stopped in for the very first time to grab some things due to it's convenience and location along my route. Walking in was like stepping into the 70's. The store is old, outdated, along with their products, and employees are ignorant. I bought five items, three of which were far past the sell by date, though I didn't notice until I was home. I felt like I was in a thrift store for food. I can't believe the price of the 16 frozen hamburgers great value that was $6.99 a few months ago and today the price was $12.99 . One can of corn $2.09 , one pepper $3.49 each I'm very disappointed and I'm not going to shop here ever again . The pork chop packages were dripping blood all over the place when you pick up the meat contaminating the hamburger and ham and whatever else was in the freezer area .
