OMG I just canā€™t believe itšŸ„¹ It was on my bucketlist for so long: Swimming with manateesšŸ«¶šŸ¼šŸ„¹ Actually, I saw many of them but my favorite part was when I met a baby manatee with its mom, what an unbelievable scene! If youā€™d like to know more about manatees and how to find them, here are some pretty interesting infos I learned: Save this for laterā¬‡ļø: šŸŒŠ If you want to see manatees, the best time to see them is during winter (November to April) because they are looking for warm water. Although sometimes manatees choose to live during year round. We went during mid April and had the chance to see plenty of them near Crystal River in Kings Bay. ā˜€ļø Manatees are more active in the morning. Also, in the morning itā€™s less crowded so the water is clearer and itā€™s easier to spot them. This is why we did the morning tour with @plantationadventurecenter . šŸ«¶šŸ¼ Florida manatees are an endangered species so there are a lot of laws to protect them in Florida. This includes not harassing, touching, or feeding them. Kayaking and paddleboarding are passive ways to view them without disturbing them or their habitat. Itā€™s also possible to pay for tours and swim with them. If you do, please, be careful and respect them. They are very curious and playful, theyā€™ll may want to come close to your face and say hi!šŸ„° šŸ‘™ The temperature of the water was 73 degrees Fahrenheit! We also had the chance to swim in a small Spring called Jurassic Spring. But to be able to do so, you need to own a property near by or reach the area by boat, paddle or kayak. Let me know if you had the chance to meet a manatee!
