Papakolea Community Park — Attraction in Honolulu

Papakolea is a very community friendly neighborhood. The center provides many programs of all ages from Keiki to Kupuna. We are the only Hawaiian Homestead located in urban ʻOahu. We are a tight knit community always looking out for one another and our Keiki. Papakolea hosts many events to service our community and other communities. The programs hosted at the Papakolea Center has always been to benefit our children in education, our Kupuna and Makua in health education and much more. I also appreciate the community newsletter that goes out quarterly . Always good to be updated and know whats happening in Papakolea. Papakolea is my home where I was born and raised. My ʻOhana has lived in Papakolea for 5 generations. Iʻm the 3rd generation. Papakolea will always be my heart. Love how clean the overall park is. The fact that it's separate (the play area and basketball area is cool so the little ones don't have to worry about being in harms way. The big oversized stairs to sit on and watch the kids play is nice. I enjoy taking my kids there. They can play in peace while I catch up on school work or just chill. The only thing I don't like is that there's no restroom...

Cute little park. Great place to stop after a trip to Punchbowl Cemetery for kids to have snack and run around a bit. No notable playground equipment which was fine. Saw a hula halau practicing while there...
