It would have been a great experience to fly over Hawaii for an hour to explore the areas from air. It was all good to reach the place interact with their excellent team there and take off smoothly. The narrations and explanations seems to be good from the piolet to understand areas and their aspects only if you can see the places properly.

I missed a lot of views and opportunities of capturing breathtaking photographs (which I love to do during all my heli-rides) as being seated at the right window. This become the most sad & disturbed incident for me while in Hawaii and the worst Heli-ride I had ever !

As the operators knew that as per their route plan, which window seat will be ideal for view and photograph, they should have given one best view seat to one member of the two groups who are flying together. In our case the ideal was Left Window seat only and the right seat was viewing the blank sea during most of the flying time as per their route plan. I am sure this could be done without much effect on the weight distribution. The piolet was interested in explaining the left side only throughout the flight (as there was nothing much to show and explain on the right side ) and no efforts were made to show some important scenes like water fall, crater etc to the right seated guys. Please try to treat all at par though I understand that it can't be equal in all aspects. But the differentiation could have been minimal. Also, suggest to have a better return route for the people who missed the scenes being seated on left or right. After all we all are taking the ride to enjoy the scenic beauties and not to hear only the narration. Try whatever way so that you can make it better and memorable for all the people who take the ride.

What disturbed most the photographer in me was that the guys sitting at the left windows were simply watching without taking any photographs.

I suggest, anyone flying next time should ask first for the route and select a window seat accordingly so that at least one member form the group can be assured of the best view and capture good photographs.

Apart from the seating experience, photographs and videos purchased at a hefty amount was not at all worthy. They gave few photographs in front of the helicopter and also after seated inside. But, the major amount paid for the video was not worth as the quality of the video was not so good because of poor resolutions and clarity. That was not worth the amount paid !

I suggest to have only still photographs from them and not the recorded video.

Feeling bad that it all ended without much excitement which would have been otherwise if some more care taken on these issues !

I have increased the rating to Four Star for their excellent team and the one hour duration offered which is very...

The entire process was smooth from reserving and getting our pre-flight safety brief. You'll check in an hour early so they can record your weight and figure out the weight and balance for the flight. The seating arrangement for a private tour in the R-44 is a seat next to the pilot, and two in the back. Each passenger is issued a floatation vest that you wear around your waist. You'll have hearing protection with a mic that is push-to-talk if you have any questions during the tour. You can hear traffic control in the background, but it is necessary for safe passage. After a short wait, we were brought to the flight line where we were given an opportunity to take a picture in front of the aircraft. We were brought over to the helicopter and belted in by the staff and given our headsets. Freddie was our pilot and did an amazing job with the tour. We felt safe and his knowledge of the island was obvious. We flew on the Isle Sights Unseen route which is a 45-minute tour of many places we visited, only better at 2000 feet! We opted for the open doors which can make taking pictures challenging but also an amazing experience for the family. Recommend wearing a sweatshirt and pants if you're going on a open aircraft due to the wind and cooler temps. There was minor turbulence and Freddie did a good job with warning us and making the appropriate decision to choose a safer route near the mountains. Your best photographer is going to be seated next to the pilot since you have less crosswind to contend with. Phones will be placed in a clear plastic case with a lanyard. All personal belongings will be secured back at the hangar since they do not permit any loose items during the flight (purses, pocket items, hats, keys, etc). Basically, you're in the skies with your phone, sunglasses, and excitement! Well worth the experience to cap off our stay in Oahu! Thank you to the staff at Rainbow...

We took the Royal Crown of Oahu tour for our anniversary. It is worth every penny as well as the video! Cristoph was a great pilot and was very knowledgeable of the island. He even took a pit stop over my husbands job for a picture. I would definitely ride with Cristoph again. The retired navy employee that took us to the helicopter was also very nice and triple checked which helicopter we were going on to make sure it was fueled which I appreciated since I was nervous to fly!

However, the only reason I have to give less than 5 stars is because the rest of the team at the building had terrible customer service. It was quite obvious they lack team communication as they asked us our names and if we had a voucher each time a new person came in the room. At first I didnt think it was a big deal, but when we got back they told us to wait in the safety brief room, so we did. For 10 mins we sat there while they were in the other room playing on their phones and giggling. Finally a girl came into the room and asked if we were going to fly....THE SAME GIRL THAT HELPED US IN AND OUT OF THE HELICOPTER. Then she took our life vests and phone lanyards and let my husband get his stuff out of the drawer. She walked us out but then we had to remind her we purchased both video options. The girl at the front desk started showing us part of the video and gave us options to purchase....yet again we had to remind someone we bought the $69 bundle of videos.

I know it seems petty to complain about but I expected much better customer service for...

YA GIRL GOT ENGAGED ON ONE OF THESE HELI'S. We went on the 45 min tour with pilot Julian. Originally, we were going to be in the big shared helicopter but it was unavailable at our tour time. The staff ended up giving us a private tour in one of the smaller helicopters and it was awesome. Julian was so friendly and honestly treated us like old friends. He had cool facts to share and was very personable. I 10000% recommend. It was beyond beautiful and such a wild and cool way to see the island. I will say, we went on the 4pm tour which was super nice since the sunset was at 5:45pm. There was still a lot of light but not beating down. My videos came out great. I wore a sweatshirt and shorts with doors off and by the end of the 45 mins was a little chilly. It is December though so maybe during summer it's not as bad.. either way 100% do the doors off!
