All I can say is that hands down with no conditions, Aloha Mortuary is a BEAUTIFUL place filled with gracious and beloved people who are soooo compassionate! Our eldest son passed away February 19 and being that I live in mililani, my first call was to mililani mortuary. They booked me an appt for a week from the date I contacted them. A friend had passed along the number for Aloha Mortuary and asked that I speak with Nani. First off, she is so pleasant and warm, patient and loving (so what I needed at that particular moment). She discussed with me their services, and literally within 12 hours of my call with her, my son was received, washed and prepped, AND a call to me at 8:42pm with, “Hi mama, he’s so beautiful and he’s ready”. I personally have never travelled this road with funeral planning in my life. Nani held my hand from beginning to end. She’d call to check in on me often, mostly to just to see how I was doing. Our son’s viewing was done 3 days after he was received. Their viewing building isn’t in the nicest of neighborhoods (industrial area) but let me tell you, they have ABSOLUTE SPECTACULAR CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL AROUND!!!! I’m crying as I do this review, I’m just in awe that this mortuary has so much LOVE, HEART, COMPASSION, PATIENCE AND ALOHA… My son was cared for in his final send off by the BEST PEOPLE AROUND!!! First and foremost I'd like to express my most greatest gratitude to everyone there at Aloha Mortuary. My ohana and I are Blessed to have met the President Kawehi. She is such a Beautiful person with a Big Heart and a Blessed Vision on helping the people of Hawaii in a time were it can be difficult. Her team that she has are so awesome and amazing its literally like your own family. The feeling you'll get is warm, caring, kind, loving, and they take your love one into consideration and connect with your love one and your ohana and yourself. He is such a kind soul and made the process in such a sensitive situation seem so clear and easy, he had such a great composer a kind and well spoken voice. This has been a long journey for our Ohana losing a nephew in January and brother in February. Arrangements were already made to come home from mainland for funeral; I was tasked brother's arrangements. Calling various funeral parlors was exhausting and stressful, some could not answer questions right away so had to leave messages, one of them even asked me to look up their prices & services on their website in which she did not have the info and funeral directors were busy. My sister's longtime friend had her son's cremation in January and recommended Aloha Mortuary. When I called I spoke to the most sincere person and all my questions were answered within this introductory phone call.
