Blue Hawaiian Helicopters — Attraction in Honolulu

I’m leaving this review only to hopefully help some others in the future. My husband and I flew in after a 10 hour flight to Honolulu. We booked a big island tour after calling blue Hawaii tours prior to coming to Hawaii, but we had that option or Oahu. We chose the big island to go see the volcano. so after flying in, we turned around and booked another flight from Oahu Over to the big island for the tour. after the cost of the second flight and our entire day revolving around this trip we show up to be told They are canceling our tour due to supposed technical issues. however everyone before us and after are able to go on their flights, I know that may not seem like a big deal to some, but for some people it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to come over here and many people never even make it here and our biggest concern is the fact that we asked in advance and chose this tour. It was devastating after flying over to sit on the big island all day with no other plans because of that being our trip. so we not only wasted lots of money but our very precious valuable time and when they first canceled while we’re sitting in the lobby, it’s like oh we’ll just give you your money back and no one Attempted to try to do something different until they saw the devastation and tears and me begging for them to try to find us some other tour on the island or swap out and make it possible for us to get a flight. Then they proceeded to start trying to help with no resolution to getting any tour that day. I am not leaving the review saying that it’s a horrible fight. I just know that I never made the flight and I chose blue Hawaii because they were supposedly one of the best according to reviews and recommendations from others, and I was very disappointed that it was not handled any better than it was. I can’t get back my time, memories or money that this costed...

My wife and I were in Hawaii for our "Bucket List" vacation experience. When planning this trip, one of the things we (me, I love to fly) chose to do while in Hawaii was to do a helicopter tour of the island. For days leading up to this flight, my wife was a nervous wreck. She is one that is afraid of heights and flying in general. OMG!!!... What an experience. Chris, our pilot, was the best and I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for a first helicopter ride experience. I say that for many reasons. He is a professional at many levels. His knowledge of the entire island and explaining all the key places was phenomenal. His calming voice helped, not only my wife, but everyone onboard. He knew my wife was a bit nervous but helped her relax by his witty comments along with explaining key points of interests of the island. We did many things while we were on the island for our weeklong trip. On our last evening, we went out for dinner, and I asked my wife what she thought was the highlight of our trip. Without hesitation, she came back immediately and said that the helicopter ride was the best thing we did for the week. The team at Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours was absolutely outstanding. As a first-time helicopter rider, I was initially a bit nervous, but they made the entire experience seamless, safe, and incredibly enjoyable. I also had the pleasure of flying with my two young children, ages 5 and 7, and they had an unforgettable time as well. The staff in the office, particularly Shana and Mae, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and that our experience was flawless. Our pilot, Chris W, was exceptional—he not only demonstrated incredible skill as a pilot but also shared a wealth of knowledge about the island. He provided a detailed, guided tour and made sure we had plenty of opportunities to see all the highlights.
