The pond is beautiful! The ducks were quacking while we were there. We started at the western entrance to the Blue trail, where there is a small parking area and a trail map. We followed blue up to the bridge. From there we picked up the red trail. The blue trail is mostly level, a nice stroll in God's creation. The red trail takes a steep scramble up to the top of the west side ridge. Definitely wear your hikers in the red trail. It was very fun, but be ready, especially if there was recent rain. There was some mud and puddles to navigate. Keep watch for the trail makers. We lost the red trail entirely, toward the end. We followed the wide (vehicle access?) trail and missed where red turned off. We emerged from the woods in a residential neighborhood a bit up the road from where we intended. It was a very enjoyable hike. Distance: around 2 miles time: just over an hour (includes taking in the sights)

Great fishing spot. Plenty of parking right on the side. Walkable trails to access many fishing spots. Caught many with Roostertail bait.
