You can definitely have some fun out here even in a stock vehicle. I took my bones stock 93 Cherokee XJ out here and had a blast with my buddy climbing (and sometimes attempting to climb, but deciding against it) the dunes and trails out here. I would imagine that on a busy day you might not want to hit the triails unless you have a fine flag, as visibility is not at large out there. Red sands is cool and bad. The cool: during the day you can chill with family/friends and ride your ATV or 4x4 vehicle around the sands and have fun. The bad: If you don't pick a good place to chill it can feel chaotic at times. Some drivers drive reckless and drunk at night or when the sun goes down.
