I am writing this review almost a year later because I gave Kevin, the owner, multiple chances to fix his mistake. He has not returned any of my texts or phone calls. I am hoping this review will relay important information to you if you decide to hire him. I told him that I would give him a year to fix his wrongdoings, but now I am fed up with his behavior. Also, no customer should give a company a year to fix their mistakes. Kevin is unreliable, unprofessional, and continues to make countless excuses after excuses. My husband wrote a review after the job was complete because he was appalled at the company's job. Kevin read the review and asked us if he could make it up to us and take the review down. So, out of the kindness of our hearts, we did and gave him a second chance.
We hired 100% Tree & Lawn Care to install sod in our backyard and along the side of our house. Before the job, my husband requested to have this company manually level the soil versus using heavy machinery. Kevin said that it was possible, but it would charge more since the job would take longer. On October 20th, 2020, Kevin sent out two of his employees to complete this part of the job. (One of the employees was named Fernando) It took about 2.5 days to complete this part of the task. Kevin did not call us during this time, nor did he show up to monitor this job. After the leveling was completed, the installing of the sod was next. The installation took about a week to complete.
Prior to installing to sod, the sod was left in our driveway, and you can tell from the pictures that I have uploaded that the sod was dead upon arrival. Again, Kevin was not here to monitor this sod delivery. Kevin finally showed up toward the end of the job and stated that he was in Louisiana for another job. I voiced my concerns that it was highly unprofessional to show up on an expensive job days late. He apologized profusely. The job was done by his employees looked horrific. The sod was dead, and the ground was unleveled; it was an absolute mess. The job had looked like amateurs did it. Our beautiful backyard now looks like a tragedy, thanks to Kevin. You can't even walk outside without trying to balance yourself because of how unleveled it is.
While we waited for Kevin to upkeep his promises, he said to wait until March 2021 for the grass to come back because of the winter. So we waited.. Kevin offered to fertilize the grass for us during our wait and educated us on how often to water the grass. He then hired his men to manicure our lawn then decides not to show up anymore because it was too far. Professional right? Why would you accept to manicure our lawn when you know how far away our house is? Real smart move there, Kevin. March 2021 appears, and our grass is still brown in most spots. Does Kevin call or reach out regarding this matter? Absolutely not. On April 9th, 2021, his crew comes and replaces part of the sod. This time he gets something right; most of the sod was actually green and thriving, not like before. The soil was leveled for the most part. The only part of the sod that was dead was towards the end [View in pictures].
I told Kevin I did not want to take him to court because we just wasted thousands of dollars on this horrid job that his company did. He then stated that he wanted to make it up to us. So again, of course, we wait... nothing. It is now June 2021; Kevin has not reached out, has not answered my calls or text. Below are pictures of the job and our text threads. Read moreI used Angi list via HomeAdvisor to get recommendations to tie up new growth of Bamboo in backyard as it was leaning forward. Kevin, came out to assess and quote the job. They sent an invoice twice before work was done and incorrect agreed upon amount.I had calla nd text to get this fixed. There are already metal stakes in the ground and ties around posts to guide them where thing should be tied up. The two men who arrived had no clue what they were doing at all. I spoke to them in Spanish to ensure proper communication. Kevin knew that they had to supply cord, although later on the phone the lady who knew nothing stated oh and the cord was not included. The workers used whatever they had in truck. Wrong size and wrong colour so it sticks out too much.. They also didn’t tie the bamboo correctly. All of the issues of the lower new growth bamboo is still sticking out and not properly done. When I showed them what needed to be done again. They told me they were going to go and buy supplies. They never came back. I called the office three hours later. The rude office lady gave me a bunch of excuses and told me to hire another company. If I could give negative stars I would.
