1. Irresponsible with the scheduling: I called to confirm and texted the hairstylist Ceron twice to let him know of the appointment, the man did not answer the text. Called again in the morning to confirm the appointment time and asked if they needed to reschedule and they confirmed the appointment. When I showed up they said my appointment was for next Friday.
2. About the service: Ceron is too busy to accommodate new clients, while working with me he needed to ask an inexperienced assistant to help blow dry my hair because he was trying to gossip and do the hair of a long time client.The assistant is better suited for a dry cleaning job. Meanwhile they have a mess with two more clients hair color touchup and Ceron needed to keep giving instructions to the same slow comprehending assistant to the point of annoyance.
3. Ceron skills: the gentleman has experience, however not at the level of Frederick Fekkai or any other of the big names in LA. I have to schedule a second appointment to address matters we could not discuss in the first appointment because the mess surrounding him. A key to success and relevance is to respect your clients, quality gets easily compromised when the management and communication fails. This the case of a lot of PR, relationships with an useless elite but no quality service to support grow beyond the apparent.

Thankfully I was recommended a professional the day before, my friend explained what happened and he asked me to come to see him immediately, he told me he is familiar with that type of incidents at Ceron’s salons. He is having fun as I post this sharing my experience with colleagues in the media as “another case”.

This place is amazing! All the hard-work and credits of course goes to the wonderful and amazing Ms.Phalla. Once you request an appointment with her, prepare to be amazed. Her skills are absolutely no joke, several of people have come up to me complimenting my hair. She takes the extra time and effort to throughly explain and go over your haircut to make sure you are fully satisfied with your masterpiece. She has left me both amazed and breathless at my new transformation, and goes beyond what you ask for. Her bright and energetic personality makes me want to come back everyday ! Currently it’s been around 7-8 years since my mom, sister, and I have visited Ms. Phalla and each and every time I have left 1000% satisfied! Now Ms.Phalla knows exactly what I want without even saying! Just got a new haircut and highlights without showing any reference photo and she absolutely blew me away! The highlights came out so healthy and natural with perfectly blended hints of blondes and browns! She is so talented and has such talent to customize and tell what colors/ cuts look good with an individual’s skin tone and face shape! Not only is she talented, her skills are absolutely versatile, from mens hair cut, to women’s hair cut, balayage, extension, highlights, etc! Her skills and talents are limitless!
She cares for you not just as a client, but as a friend and does everything to make you feel comfortable ! I adore her dearly and would 1000% recommend her as she is the best hairstylist. She deserves a promotion and a raise :). Since she’s busy everyday, make sure to make an appointment with her now before she gets so much more busier!! I cannot express how thankful I am for Destiny at Ceron Hair Studio in the Memorial area. I came in post 4 sessions of balayage at what's considered one of the "top" hair salons in Houston. My hair was left highly damaged, uneven in color, and lifeless. After MUCH searching on the internet and instagram, I found Destiny's page on instagram (@dizzydestinyy) and sent her a message about an appointment. I booked a consultation with her that day and spent roughly 20 minutes talking about color history and goals. Destiny is easily the kindest, most genuine soul I have met and TRULY cares about you, the health of your hair, and making you feel beautiful. I came in the very next day and she absolutely transformed my hair and brought it back to life. My hair is so natural looking, soft, bouncy, and HEALTHY! Destiny is a hair goddess and is THE best in Houston at what she does, hands down. Also, everyone that works at Ceron is very professional - it's a great environment for clients (you won't hear stylists being snobby, gossipy, or bad mouthing clients like at other salons). They use all the best hair products, such as Olaplex, Oribe, Wella (I got the Wella post color treatment), and Dyson hair dryers. They also offered me all sorts of drinks right when I walked in, and Destiny even offered to pick up food for me from next door during my appointment if I got hungry! (The session lasted roughly 3.5 hours). Overall, I could not have been more thrilled with my experience and result. Thank you Destiny and Ceron...
