This park has so much to offer! The playground is HUGE! Literally it’s three stories high, so much climbing and rope, each level has bigger and bigger slides, it was quite interesting. There’s also a smaller playground too, but my twins wanted to challenge the big playground and they needed a little help but they had fun! There’s also a splash pad that is huge and a bucket dumps water on the kids, and there’s a slide, we didn’t check that part out (yet) but definitely will in the future! There’s a trail around the park with different memorials, my kids love running trails and we went around the entire park. They were just frolicking away! There’s basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, and so much more. If you go to the front of the building there’s a little library you can donate too, and I always donate journals for other kids, or anyone who likes to journal. I just grab a bunch from the dollar store, they have really cute ones. And you can use the restrooms inside as well, that’s what we did. It was nice to get some AC. Overall if you’re in Hudson, this is definitely the park you want to hit up! We had...
Read moreVeterans Memorial Park is an absolute gem! The huge playground is a kid’s dream, offering endless fun with giant slides, bridges, swings, monkey bars, and even a ropes course. There’s truly something for everyone, including a shaded area for younger children to enjoy safely.
The park is well-equipped with plenty of picnic tables and a large pavilion, making it perfect for family gatherings or a relaxing day outdoors. The parking lot is spacious, which is great for larger vehicles and RVs, as long as there isn’t a big event happening.
One of the best features is the walking trail that circles the park, providing a scenic and peaceful spot for a stroll. Plus, the splash pad next door is a fantastic way to cool off on hot days! Conveniently, there are restrooms and water fountains nearby, making it even more family-friendly.
Overall, Veterans Memorial Park is a must-visit! Whether you're looking for a place for the kids to run wild, a relaxing picnic spot, or a nice walk, this park has it all....
Read moreI’ve been taking my child to this park for 3 years and love to spend time here playing, learning, watching nature. There is a book exchange at the front entrance office area. This park provided space for the community to come pick up sand bags during hurricane/ storm season. From time to time there is some foul mouth teens playing there but no threats to safety. Splash pad is FREE! And lots of picnic tables for gathering. 1 mile Cement track with mile markers and mini gyms along the track. Did I mention it’s free? Also there is large tennis courts and baseball fields. Basketball courts, large and small. Might even make friends with the squirrels in the park. Tons of things to do. And please if you do visit, treat it well and clean up after yourself. After all, it is a memorial park for those who did...
