As a Hugo native I am proud that my hometown has such a high-quality museum. Great attention to detail, a huge array of exhibits and that cozy, old feeling a museum should have. Do not miss it while in southeastern Oklahoma.

We have the worst possible luck finding these little museums open, or rather arriving while they’re open. But we’re able to get a few photos and hope to come see it again when it is open.

Super neat museum! So glad we stopped in! The workers are extremely nice and knowledgeable. Not just a train museum, they have all sorts of cool stuff!

I wish I could give this museum a glowing review. The staff was very welcoming and that's the best part of the place. Okay, so it's a free museum but it desperately needs some curating. The rooms are dark and dusty. We expected to see a restored Harvey Girls Restaurant display per the website information. The only displays pertaining to Harvey Girls are in the hot and dark upstairs. There is a small section downstairs to the left that was the baggage area which is now a little cafe. It has some authentic floor tiles and some furnishings from that period. The Circus memorabilia, nice miniature circus and posters were interesting and appealing. The rest of the displays just look sad and shabby. I dearly love small town museums but Frisco left much to be desired. Maybe someone will show it some...

All 3 of us were very impressed. The amount of history in that old frisco railroad building is awesome. My grandfather retired from frisco and lived in the hugo and soper areas while working on the railroad. He received a very nice watch upon retirement. Volunteers are needed, and funding is needed as well. It was such a treasure trove of the past of the railroads that brought people west and made our country into a wealthy nation. Oklahoma Indian territories helped develop the success of the railroads. The building is a reminder of craftsmanship and American ingenuity. Our guide was superb. He had many stories of relatives and friends who lived during that wonderful time. I will definitely return. Hugo has a wonderful, rich history. Must see and 5...

It has potential to be a viable tourist draw where people could stay in rooms once used by the Harvey girls. This is one of the Harvey Houses that were placed along the railway to feed passengers and for getting buying tickets for the train. It has a lot of historical value. They have made a museum out of it of circuses (all the circuses used to be based in Hugo) on the bottom floor and The Harvey Girls rooms on The 2nd floor. The restaurant has reopened and that is nice, but it has potential to be...
