Huntersville Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce a series of free Friday night films for the residents of the Lake Norman area.
Recent family-friendly films are going to be shown on a cinema-size screen with a powerful sound system at North Mecklenburg Park. Admission is free, but canned goods are being accepted as donations to benefit the new Angels and Sparrows Soup Kitchen in Huntersville.
Radiant Life Fellowship, a local church, has stepped forward and offered to partner with the Town to make the movies happen. "We wanted to connect with the people of Huntersville in a way that would be a blessing," said Chris Thompson, lead pastor. "And if people bring a few canned goods, they can be blessed by the movie and bless those who are less fortunate with the soup kitchen supplies."
Cici's Pizza, one of the sponsors, is going to offer $5 pizzas at the event and free popcorn will be provided.
The tentative schedule is as follows: Movies in North Mecklenburg Park- 9:00PM*

I know it's outside but I'm hoping some attention would be given to the...

You share the trail with cyclists, which are probably watch the ground, more than watching for you. That is the only issue I see. Just walk the opposite direction on the trail, so that you will be able to see them coming! They are also putting in a new playground for the kids,...
