North Alabama Japanese Garden — Attraction in Huntsville

This is a true hidden gem of Huntsville -- it's small, but it's beautiful, and they sometimes do Japanese Festivals, which are fun opportunities to experience small parts of another culture. Wonderful place to sit and relax, take in nature and enjoy for all it's worth. A very short walking distance from at least 3 trail entrances, once you find the garden it is like entering a secret world. It's a magical place early in the morning, evokes a feeling of divine solitude, yet so very close to civilization. If you're looking for a place for a picnic or a nice walk then this is a great place. Otherwise it's not particularly well kept compared to other Japanese gardens I've been to, no Koi pond or fountains or anything other than a rock garden and a small building.
