This park is a standout destination that beautifully combines natural scenery with family-friendly amenities. Situated along a serene riverside, it features lush greenery, open spaces, and well-maintained walkways that offer stunning views at every turn. Whether you’re out for a relaxing stroll or enjoying a day with the family, the park provides a peaceful and welcoming environment.

Families will appreciate the large, modern playset, ideal for young children. The disc golf course adds a fun, active element, and the snow hill becomes a seasonal favorite during the winter months. Multiple covered picnic sheds are thoughtfully placed throughout the park, making it an excellent spot for gatherings, picnics, or casual meetups.

One area that could be improved is bathroom accessibility. Currently, the primary restroom facility is located up a hill at the center of the park and can be hard to spot, especially for first-time visitors or those with limited mobility. The addition of more easily accessible and clearly marked bathrooms throughout the park would greatly enhance convenience and user experience.

Overall, this park offers a wonderful mix of natural beauty and recreational options, making it a go-to spot for people of all ages—despite a few practical areas that could benefit from...

I've lived in or near idaho falls nearly all my life and only visited freeman park a handful of times growing up. I took my toddler there for a BBQ which we couldn't find, but it gave me an opportunity to really explore and appreciate this park! I didn't realize how big it is! It boasts lush, well manicured expanses of grass with hills, all kinds of mature, shady trees and even a whimsical Creek winding throughout the property. There's a paved walkway connecting the different areas of the park and an impressive disc golf course. I love the footbridges over the stream! There are shelters available for events, a couple baseball fields and atop the highest point in the park is a veterans memorial monument. There's a few playground items scattered around the park and a couple different access points into the park. It's nestled next to the local campuses and just off the highway. A very relaxing escape from the daily grind to truly appreciate and relax in mother...

This is one of my favorite parks in Idaho Falls. It is located next to the ISU Outreach School and Various Idaho National Labs buildings. Inside the park is a memorial for the Vietnam Veterans that sits at the top of the hill in the park. The park also has a freisbi golf course and a couple playgrounds, one located on the west side of the park was just recently updated with brand new equipment. The park has a couple of pavilions, one large one that is often used for small concerts. Last the park has about a 1 mile trail that is paved, it circles the entire park and in one section will take you along the river down to the railroad tracks, the other break off located to the south will again keep you along the river and if it is the righ time a year you will be able to access the floating bridge to take you to the trail that...

Part of that string of green spaces lining the Snake River, the beautiful Freeman Park is on the east bank, just south of the Idaho State University Campus. On the river walk you can take a little detour or find a spot in this ample green space for a picnic. Paved trails for walking, jogging and cycling course through Freeman Park, past tall mature trees. Among the many facilities on hand there’s an 18-hole disc golf course, a children’s playground with newly updated equipment, an outdoor shelter and picnic tables. Maybe the most relaxing spot is right by the Snake River where there are plenty of benches if you just want to watch it flowing past.

Well maintained and such a peaceful park. I wish they would cut down some of the bushes along the river so you can see it. There are benches at some areas where you can see the river but more spots would be nice. This was the weekend for Field of Honor. Very nice and such a great tribute. The Vietnam Veteran Memorial is very nice. This park has some wonderful trails, plenty of nice areas to relax, beautiful trees, a nice play area, disc golf, baseball field, and a small creek running along part of the park. In the winter, they groom the park, and there are plenty of activities to do.
