It was super good there were some things to improve but I was there for the whole day so it's just the tiny cracks that most people won't notice I feel. Let's quickly talk about the downsides. The staff need to manage the lines better as it can be survival of the fittest. I had a rude interaction with wild willy's .staff should also manage unpleasant vagrant snowboarders who cut in line and didn't wear there mask Some of the staff were super good about lines and masks but one kid was just skating by doing the minimum. So the slopes are super super good there are 2 amazing beginner trails, 1 bunny slope for super beginners, like 8 ish intermediate (4 of which are like gateway from beginner)and a healthy 6 ish main black diamonds with some other offshoots from the intermediates. Here is my reccomendation after being there all day and I am about an intermediate skiier as I've been about 7 times If you're super rusty go the school yard and get comfy easier ride ever. After that you can go to the lodge pole( which is just slightly more difficult but not long enough for me) but I personally recommend the .... Freeway. To get to it head to the center lift( I know it looks like you're going on the black diamond big one but I promise it's leading to the next best beginner route( go ahead and ask the friendly staff they'll tell you)) now if the freeway felt like the most you can handle I'd stay there all day ! It's amazing Next I would head to the " popular" run I know the name is confusing but it's called popular and it is also popular with the people . This run is an intermediate so only go if your feeling up to the challenge it's about twice as steep as anything on the freeway but I had fun. Here is where my advice isnt as helpful but my friends next hit the slalom Glade as it seems like the most doable black diamond. I personally just kept doing freeway and splitting off to popular when I was feeling adventurous. It seems like they are nice and long runs . I times it and freeway took a little less than 4 min which is actually super good cause I...
Read moreThis is such a hidden gem! The views are absolutely breathtaking at the top and while skiing some trails! No double diamonds or anything crazy but the black trails are pretty steep and fun to ski down. I would recommend for an intermediate skier to go here for 1 day (maybe 2 days) but you can definitely cover most of the trails here in a day if you come for the whole day.
I went on a Friday and Saturday and of course Friday was more enjoyable since it was less crowded and the snow conditions was better. When it gets busy the lift area is a bit long wait and a little messy.
Depending on the weather the ski conditions can be amazing. If itâs really sunny the some trails get a bit slushy. Very little to no ice which was such a pleasant surprise (coming from someone who has only skied on the east coast where itâs often icy). The lift tickets arenât too pricey as well. On Saturday it is pretty crowded and even though we arrived a little after 9am (when they say they open), the regular parking lot was full and we parked quite far. It seems like they have a lot of parking which is nice and they also have a frequent âtramâ (a seating area attached to a truck) that stops at several tram stops along where cars are parked (that are far away from the resort) and it will bring you right to the lodge at the bottom which is super nice. They also have this free resort going back at the end of the day and they do run pretty frequent.
They have decent COVID practices, on the lift they state that they require there to be at least 1 empty seat separating different parties. They also enforce wearing mask when you get on the lift. The crystal express lift doesnât have anyone really monitoring/directing the lines so itâs a bit of a mess but not too bad. The lines for the lift and food in the lodge arenât really socially distanced but...
Read moreThis ski resort definitely made its mark on being one of the most beautiful in the world. However I wanted to commend someone specific; Spenser.
I cannot speak highly enough about the exceptional service we received from Spenser during our two-day ski trip at Diamond Peak Ski Resort. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of amazing.
Firstly, Spenser's knowledge of the slopes and the resort itself was remarkable. He provided us with invaluable tips and recommendations that greatly enhanced our skiing/snowboarding experience. Not only did he assist us in navigating the trails, but he also took the time to share insider knowledge about the best spots for various skill levels.
Furthermore, Spenser's genuine enthusiasm and passion for snowboarding/skiing and winter sports was infectious. His upbeat attitude and friendly demeanor made us feel welcomed and valued as guests. It was evident that he genuinely cared about ensuring we had a fantastic time on the mountain.
What truly set him apart, however, was his exceptional customer service. He consistently went out of his way to accommodate our needs and preferences, whether it was providing personalized recommendations for après-ski dining or helping us with directions around incline village/resort. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed and truly made our trip unforgettable.
Spenser is and will be an asset to any business and kudos to him for exceeding all expectations and ensuring that our experience was nothing short of...
