Hidden beach was incredible-- where else can you turn to one side to see snow capped mountains, the other a mountain covered in trees? The water is turquoise blue, and there is sufficient space to socially distance from one another, or jump off rocks! The only downside is the parking. The closest lots, which are currently free to park, but will eventually become pay lots, are a 1.25 mile walk to the beach. Fortunately there is a convenient multi-use bike path that gets you there, with views of the lake. If you have the ability to, I would recommend taking TART to the beach instead of driving. The stop is located right at the parking lot, you don't have to pay to ride it, or deal with the headache of finding a spot in the small lots!

We really liked this beach and so did our dog. Access is from the Tahoe East Shore trail and is about a mile walk from the parking area. We went mid-week in late August and the weather was perfect and while the parking area was full we were able to find a spot along the road. The walk along East Shore trail is very nice with great lake views. The beach itself is relatively small, but we were lucky to find a spot at one end with some shade. The water is a spectacular turquoise here and the views across the lake are awesome as well.

Where do i start with Tahoe, this place has it all. My partner and I visited friends here on a warm March weekend, we had an amazing time skiing one day and spent the entire next day exploring the lake and the little towns around it. I highly recommend you drive around the lake, there are so mahy great spots to stop and take it all in. Go to sugar pine bakery from a ham and cheese croissant and make sure you see emerald bay!

Awesome little Beach before Sand Harbor. Beautiful area with lots of nature around. Definitely go during off season otherwise you may as well be at Disneyland! Waaaay to crowded to bother. We went in October when the weather was beautiful & had the whole beach to ourselves for most of the day! Definitely gonna do this again! (PS the trail has been updated all along this area from Tunnel Creek to Sand Habor and the...
