I will not be returning to Pine Knob, or advising any families or friends to ever go. I have never been so publicly humiliated in my life. After arriving in the building with my 4 kids (and 5 bags accompanying ski gear), I was approached by a male employee who began screaming at me for having outside food. I had the bag and all of our stuff in my hand, and had not yet sat down. I was surrounded by several other employees who began yelling at once to me for not seeing the sign. My kids were mortified, and so was I. The entire cafeteria was staring at us being loudly and publicly shamed. I had to send my kids outside to eat while I tried to ask a different employee what the rule was, and where we were allowed to be. While trying to respect the rules and figure out where to go, the male employee came back over and continued to yell and belittle me, blaming me for others bringing food in through the school groups. I eventually was able to gather my kids and bring them downstairs where the same man followed us and continued yelling at me about the rules, where I finally had to firmly ask him to leave me alone for the third time. I and my children were embarrassed, and myself intimidated and scared by this man. This kind of treatment to a family is completely unacceptable, the lack of basic respectful customer service is disgusting. I would rather pay the extra money and the extra drive time to take my family to an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSki trail was great, food and service quality sucks! Really frustrating experience at Pine Knob Ski Resort. Went to the food counter to get a slice of cheese pizza for my 5-year-old daughter, and when I told the young boy working there what I wanted, he just stared at me with this attitude like I was bothering him. He didnāt move or say anything until I asked again, āDo you hear what I said?ā Finally, he grabbed a slice but did it so reluctantly, and when he handed it to me, he barely extending it far enough for me to take.
Then came the worst part. My daughter ate about half the pizza and told me it tasted funny. When I looked at it, I realized it was barely cooked! It was just raw dough with some melted cheese and sauce. I immediately went back to the counter and asked to speak with the manager.
So the manager onsite instead of taking the issue seriously, he didnāt bother to check the kitchen, talk to the staff, or even apologize properly. All he did was offer me another slice, which I obviously didnāt want another uncooked pizza? At that point, I asked for a refund and left feeling completely disgusted.
Seriously, I've been coming to Pine Knob for over 2 decades, and the service at Pine Knob has really gone downhill. The staff donāt care, and serving undercooked food is just unacceptable. Iām so disappointed and wonāt be returning...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat place to ski but your prices over the last couple of years have become absolutely ridiculous. Bring back the single park pass. We don't use the other resorts on your season pass so paying $700 for a season pass per person is way too much. Until your prices come down, we'll go elsewhere.
In response to PK's reply, I call nonsense. Labor costs?! I know people who work there who don't get paid much and have continued to receive the same pay despite the rise in season passes over the last couple of years. That increase definitely isn't going to the workers. And supplies? I'd love to know what supplies have increased? All your rental equipment replacements pay for themselves with the ridiculous rental fees. The supplies for the cafe are paid for by the ridiculous fees at your concession stand. You don't pay for snow. The electricity to run the resort may fluctuate but I'm sure it hasn't went too far off the rails as the rest of us would also be feeling the pinch and we're not. The real issue at hand is greed. You've made it extremely unaffordable for families to ski at your resort. You will definitely start to lose business as a result, then perhaps the owner will realize that greed isn't the best business model to follow. I'll be over at Mt. Brighton this winter....
