I don’t go to Tropical Smoothie very often because the Sashabaw location is the closest and their service is always terrible. We ordered some smoothies today and my brother and I went into the lobby to pick them up. The apparent manager was sitting outside in his car and saw us walk up to the door and shouted from his car, “The lobby is closed!” When we paused in confusion, he added rather rudely, “Because I said so!” This was extremely rude and unnecessary behavior. There was no sign on the door marking the lobby as closed, and I don’t mind following instructions if nicely advised. No manager should shout from their vehicle, telling customers how things are going to go. Furthermore, because we were rather confused at the time my brother and I went inside anyway (the app said we could pick up inside so again this was not clear). The workers in the back were shouting, one boy in particular getting into one girl’s face to argue belligerently. The girl working at the front cashier was texting on her phone. It was many minutes before one of the girls came in from the back and asked what we needed. I said we were there for a pick up and she advised the lobby is closed but she’d gladly bring the drinks to my car. We thanked her and our drinks were brought to us fairly quickly. We got home and two of our four drinks weren’t very good. Frankly this whole experience, and every experience with this location, leaves me frustrated and annoyed. I don’t appreciate being yelled at by a manager in the parking lot, nor do I find it professional behavior for the workers to be bickering and screaming at each other in the back and texting. If the lobby is closed, that needs to be specifically marked so this information is made clear. I will be going to other locations...
Read moreArrived at 12:30 this Saturday, young man that was managing the place was not in control at all. Waited 25 minutes for a simple sandwich, he looked at me and stared as if I was an inconvenience to him when I let him know of the issue. He was yelling at the staff and clearly did not have any idea on how to manage people. After barking out commands, he just stood in the doorway with his head down not paying attention at all and not doing anything to improve matters. Earlier he was too busy talking to young girls and letting them know which smoothies he liked instead of managing the place. The young teenagers that were working behind the scenes were trying hard but clearly needed good direction from management. He didn’t even bother to apologize about the long wait when I received my sandwich. He just stood there and watched as one of the younger workers delivered the sandwich. When I arrived there was one person waiting and one person ordering in front of me. By the time I left, there were six or seven other people waiting for their meals and a lineup at the drive-through. He couldn’t have cared less about the state of the restaurant....
Read moreOrdered online which I usually do and I normally go to this location. Was here over the weekend and was very disappointed. The order was not on time when I arrived not a big deal at all I understand things get busy. Smoothies I had to wait and one was very watered down or missing something not creamy at all. Finally get out to my car and go to grab a bite of my wrap. I had three I ordered for my group. Everything felt cold just from grabbing but I still opened and took a bite. They are supposed to be a hot wrap they were literally ice cold, the chicken felt like it came out of the freezer and was still thawing. I went back in, they did remake the wraps but I had not tried my smoothie at that time so going back out to my car and trying that I didn't want to go back in a second time. Not food related but I didn't feel it was appropriate for an employee to be parked at the first parking spot next to handicapped spots. These should be...
