Such a bad experience I had to buy tickets to see the band I wanted to see somewhere else. I’ve been going to concerts pretty religiously for 15 years in multiple states. This was my first one since moving to Michigan. I’ve attended very similar venues before and I’ve never had an experience like this. Absolutely everyone was smoking. Everywhere I went. I couldn’t find anywhere without people smoking. The food areas where people aren’t allowed to smoke? Nope. Smoking there too. I have asthma and couldn’t breathe at all. My wife, who doesn’t even have asthma, was sick to her stomach from the amount of smoke. Idk how many times we moved our spot throughout the festival to no avail. When it came time to move the lawn the problem got unbearable. I tried to leave the lawn for a moment to catch my breath and a security guard told me I couldn’t stand by the seating area. No band was currently playing. I said I’m having an asthma attack I just need a moment and he told me that didn’t matter I had to move back to the lawn. I tried to go the medical tent and the gentlemen was nice but he said if he treated me I’d have to be admitted to the hospital. Which makes no sense because it’s my legal right to refuse that. Wild that smoking is more protected than a disability. All of this nonsense aside, when the band I was looking forward to went on the sound was terrible. You couldn’t hear the singer at all. Oh and $5.50 for water or water fountains that were filthy and caked in grime is ridiculous for an 9 hour event and the bathrooms were disgusting. So all in all a terrible experience. I know places can do better because I’ve...
Read moreThis venue really lacked any communications they delay the concert twice and only be told there postponing avenged sevenfold concert. I’m sorry but they knew it was going thunder and lightning, they had the day before and the day of to reschedule the concert for another time but no they made us wait 2 hours all for them to say there postponing it. I really didn’t want see Kim Dracula or Alexisonfire I just wanted see avenged sevenfold it was my first time seeing them but didn’t even get to thanks to the weather and the venue. Thankfully the people around me made it a good time. But after I try see them again and try reschedule the whole hotel and trying get day off I won’t be back to this venue and rather go somewhere else and have it be a inside venue because the communication sucks, and I been to better venues like the hard rock casino in Gary, IN and that’s very sketchy area and sketchy people but that experience was ten times better...
Read moreI had a horrible experience here. They need to do better with the drop-off and pick-up process. After the concert, I had the hardest for picking my kids. The police closed off all access to the parking lot and cutting off any streets that led you to the venue. It was absurd. They had all of these teenagers and young ppl walking thru the woods, with no street lights whatsoever. The cellular service barely works in that area. So, picking up someone is nearly impossible, especially if you're not familiar with the area. The Clarkston Police were extremely unhelpful and unwilling to help you locate or get to your child. I would NEVER go to another concert here. I highly do NOT recommend this venue unless you're going to the concert yourself. If you are simply dropping off and picking up someone, it's...
