We had originally planned to take my granddaughter to the skating rink in iville for her birthday but changed our mind, we felt she would have a lot more fun at Lost Treasure. After confirming with staff arm band price & that mini golf, bumper boats and go carts are unlimited with the arm band we decided this was the best place to go where all the kids & adults too would have a fun day celebrating her birthday. We arrived at 1:00 today (Sunday) & was surprised to see only 2 cars in the parking lot. We figured, better for us, no wait. Get to the counter to purchase 8 arm bands & the young guy working tells us that due to not having anyone to run the bumper boats they were closed completely for the day & that there wouldn't be anyone in to run the go carts until 3:30pm. I asked if there was a discount on the arm bands being everything wasn't available & was told no, that we could play mini golf as much as we wanted with the arm band. The kids in our group range from ages 3-12 they definitely weren't interested in playing more than one game of mini golf. We paid for a round of mini golf, was told to take the yellow steps to the course, the train wasn't available either. It was extremely hot out today (90's) & about half way through playing golf a couple of the adults went to get drinks from the drink machines. There was ONE type of drink available out of all the drink machines, everything else was out. Drink machines weren't even stocked for guests & temperatures in the 90's. Extremely disappointed! Oh & there was a young lady also behind the counter with the guy working but she was sitting with her feet up &...
Read moreMy family and I have been going there for years, we have always enjoyed this park. Lots of young kids seem to be working who don't seem very friendly or eager to some degree. My husband and I went to the area where you purchase the tickets for the rides and go karts and there was a young girl with braids in her hair that was texting or playing on her phone, and it seem like it took her 3 to 5 minutes to even acknowledge that we were wanting to purchase a round of putt-putt. She was not very friendly and seem like she was in a hurry to sell us tickets, and after doing so she went immediately back to texting or playing on her phone before she told us where we could get our equipment for our putt-putt game. The other young girl was very helpful with helping our kids with their putters and took us up on the train.. Next we went on their golf carts and the gentlemen were very friendly and helped our kids and we had a great time. Then off to the bumper boats we go and had a blast. A lady in a maroon shirt had our kids laughing and even took pictures for us, she was totally great and even helped me and our kids make sure we got my husband super wet after he made sure we were totally soaked, Back to the golf hut we went because we had purchased wristbands, the same young lady was still on her phone texting or doing something never acknowledge us or even said HI! Great place had lots of fun just concerning that there are a lot of young kids and some of staff have no personality and seem unaware of what's going on around them.. Bumper boats were by far awesome and the lady...
Read moreWe were in town last week enjoying the beach life and my wife suggested we take the kids to ride the go karts and bumper boats on our last day of vacation. We have a four-year-old, a fourteen-year-old, and a nineteen-year-old and they all had a lot of fun. My advice if you decide to visit Lost Treasure: BUY THE WRISTBANDS. They were a great deal (you get unlimited go karts, bumper boats, and mini golf all day), plus we had a coupon that made them even more affordable. It was our four-year-old's first time at a place like this and we definitely got our money's worth considering he made me drive him around the go kart track about a thousand times.
Unfortunately, our visit was a bit marred when Luke, our fourteen-year-old, realized he had lost his mobile phone. We searched everywhere and the staff was very helpful, but in the end I left my name and phone number with the young lady at the ticket booth and we gave up the search. The next day, as we were on our long drive back home and Luke was learning to live without a phone, we got a call from Lost Treasure. They had found the phone. We had gone too far to turn back, so we arranged to speak with a manager (I believe his name was Steve) on Monday. Steve couldn't have been more helpful. He even offered to take the phone to the local UPS office himself and arrange the shipment. Luke has his phone now. Thanks,...
