Salter Path Public Access — Attraction in Bogue Banks

What a sensational place to walk on and off the beach. You can wash your feet off once you are leaving and nice little walk up a wooden walk that ends up opening up into a beautiful view of the ocean and very nice area for kids to play. We look forward to coming back many many many times.

Some would take a start away however I let a “park bathroom” which is almost always expected to be dirty on some level ever away my opinion. Have been a couple times first time it’s exactly what I would have expect decently clean and little to no smell, second time it was busy that day so if people aren’t going to take care of the facilities what do you expect.

This is a great spot to access the beach with free parking. There are restrooms, and a rinse off station with showers and a hose. The only downside is the walk to the beach on the boardwalk contains stairs that were a bit of a pain to get my beach cart down. But overall this will be our goto beach access spot for...
