The kids had fun here. There are trampolines, lots of animal statues, little houses, some tube slides, playground, a panning for minerals area, little tractors small children can ride, antique tractors, a bamboo maze and a riding tour. The pan for minerals area costs extra for a bag of dirt/sand with minerals your children can catch with mining pans. Overall it only took less than 2 hours for my son to get through everything. We were there with a school group. I have been to going to Huber’s winery and Huber’s Restaurant my whole life for fruit and pumpkins, but never taken my kids in the family fun park until now as it looked a bit like a tourist trap from the outside. I was partially right with my assumptions. My son had fun with his class but in my opinion I probably wouldn’t have taken him here otherwise. Small kids were having fun. I would say this area is really for children 7 or under. My son is 6 and got through everything...
Read moreIt was a beautiful day to visit Huber's Orchard & Winery in Starlight, In. We found fresh fruits and vegetables in the farm market. The peaches, cantaloupe, and watermelon we purchased were delicious. They also had fresh baked breads, pies, and cookies. If you want to pick your own, Huber's will take you out to the field on a tractor. Afterward, we walked to the winery. They have a huge selection of wine and bourbon. The strawberry and bourbon barrel blackberry wines are our favorite. You can buy a bottle or a glass and enjoy it inside or on the patio. Huber's serves food as well. The grounds are beautiful and include a distillery, ice cream shop, lake, and a huge fun park for the kids. It was a wonderful day and I would highly recommend taking the...
Read moreMy family and I used to really love this place, though it seems to have lost its spark. The recent price added for passengers to board the tractor ride to the fields, is pretty awful. This used to be free, as most probably know. When you do the math on $3.00 a person, and notice how many board the wagon within 10 minutes, it's roughly $2,000 profit per hour. It's clearly greed, they can basically pay most if not all employees their paycheck with this money. I believe $1.00 per person would be understandable, maybe even a $1.50. Call me crazy, but this just rubs me wrong. There's a growing business like hubers that is much closer to us in Kentucky (Robert's family farm), it will be our only place to visit for seasonal...
