We’re kinda low key connoisseurs of escape rooms and I have to say that these guys know how to do escape rooms right! We have been to all the other major players in the downtown Indy area (the one on Mass Ave and the one above Spaghetti Factory) and these guys are by far the best. The puzzles, while challenging, are fair. We have done every single room these guys currently have out (the cabin, Alice, missing maestro, the sub) and have had a wonderful time with each. Each room we've done has done an excellent job at embracing the theme of the room. There are rooms for every skill set and every age. Even the rooms that are more geared to involve the kiddos are engaging for adults. Each room had unique puzzles and there isn't much overlap between types of puzzles in the different rooms. There is a good combination of puzzles in every room including, hidden text, number play and math, riddles, hidden objects, physical mechanisms, and logic puzzles. There is no official limit on the number of clues you can receive, which is nice if you aren't super familiar with how escape rooms work. They also let you run into "overtime." So, if your group can't quite figure out the answer in the 60-minute time limit, they will give a few extra minutes. The staff is very good about giving nudges as well. This is a family run business, which is really cool! The location is slightly off the beaten trail downtown, but trust us, it's SOO worth the extra few minutes’ drive out to Beech Grove for Twisted...
Read moreI absolutely love the rooms and attitude of the game masters. As a fellow game master it's so fun to relate and joke about things we see! I've had Hope twice now, in The Cabin and Submarine, and she was fantastic! (Sorry I don't remember who ran my game for Missing Maestro, but shoutout to you too!) I've been here three times, and already planning on a fourth in a couple weeks! I'm looking at you next Collection!
I have come back to play The Collection! Man was it fun, but the game master was not. They didn't give us their name, they had no excitement or encouragement, it just seemed like she was there for her job and nothing more. Not everything was explained properly at the start and the clues, while helpful, were very cut and dry. As a former game master myself I know there can be rough days, but we push through with a smile on our faces! I really hope it was just an off day and that's not how she is with every group she has.
Finished it all off with Sweet Shoppe! Definitely the easiest room they have but easy doesnt mean lack of fun, Connor was great! Its bittersweet finishing all of the rooms at this location as its one of my favorite places play around Indy! I know as a privately owned business they probably dont have any new rooms planned very soon, but best believe I will be keeping my eye out! Or maybe I will come and replay a room or two once theyre further from my memory lol. Until then, I will most certainly miss...
Read moreMy husband and I were in town for a mini getaway, we have never done an escape room and decided to try this place. On our way there we started having car trouble so I went in to cancel our reservation needing to address the car so we could make it back home the next day. When I went in the staff was very calming and tried to help us locate a nearby shop but being 6pm most were closed. They suggested allowing the car to cool and they themselves would look at it and see if they could fix it for us. So we played! It was a great time all the while this family owned business went above and beyond and went to get their own tools and address the brake issue in their parking lot. The gentleman was able to fix it and didn't ask anything in return. What a giving family, they made us feel welcome and comfortable while waiting. Very friendly people. We did The Cabin room, the room was well thought out and offered great puzzle solving. The clues offered always pointed us in the right direction when we would get stuck. Team work is key. If we ever come back to the area we will for sure try the other rooms. And we were able to escape with 34 seconds to spare!! Go to...
