View Park Bebe Moore Campbell Library — Attraction in Inglewood

I’ve had several negative experiences at this library, primarily due to an employee named Amir. His attitude is consistently rude and dismissive, to the point that I stopped visiting the library and checking out books altogether.

Yesterday, I came in to make copies for an important event, but the copier malfunctioned and ruined my pages. I spoke with the manager, who acknowledged the issue and said a credit would be applied to my account.

I returned today while the machine was being repaired. After waiting some time without any update on how long the repair would take, I decided to go to the front desk and ask for a list of other locations where I could make copies. Something told me to also check my account balance — and sure enough, the credit that was promised the day before was never added.

When I brought this up, the manager instructed the staff to apply the credit. I asked if I could get a receipt or any kind of proof that the credit had been added, since I was heading to another location and didn’t want to go through the same issue again. Amir, instead of responding kindly, said in a condescending tone, “There’s no receipt, but it’s on there now.” When I mentioned that it should have been on there yesterday, he responded with even more attitude, saying, “Well, it’s on there now.”

The Bebe Moore Campbell library is a VERYYYYY NICE LIBRARY!!! I thought it was gonna be loud because ANOTHER library I frequent (that starts with an "I" 😂) let's kids/teens run up & down the stairs and scream, like it's normal! Plus people talk extremely loud on their phones and the staff allows them to, like theyre scared of them rude folks.

Long story short, I was hoping it wasn't gonna be crazy like the other spot and it WAS NOT!! 😇 (Well, one crazy man was in there talkin kinda loud close to me, but when I gave him the death stare he laughed and stopped 😂).

Beautiful library in the community. It's a small library so I do feel that they should enforce a policy of being quiet to respect those that are trying to read/ study - this is a library.
