Badlands UTV rental - Badlands Mercantile — Attraction in Interior

The South Dakota Badlands doesn't allow much in the way of offroad motorcycling (this is a NationalPark after all), but a Badlands Mercantile UTV rental may be the next best thing! The Parks hills provide a stunning backdrop to an exciting off-road journey over prairie grasses, dunes and gullies. Daniel prepared our trio well with a safety video, good advice, and a superb, rubber-mounted laptop GPS, so losing our way in the vast parkland became impossible, Patiently describing safe operation and maintenance of our Kawasaki 800cc side-by-side to an 18 year old, his engineering training became apparent. Both my daughter and her uncle found helmets a must -the undulating and shifting terrain can throw some surprises! This was an AMAZING FUN way to see the Badlands and Buffalo Gap Grasslands! We stayed at the nearby KOA and got info about this UTV rental there. 100% recommend!!! The man we met there was friendly and helpful. They give you a GPS tablet to take on your adventure which was clutch given how poor reception is throughout the area; this made the adventure stress-free as we off-roaded through the 500-acre section of land designated for off-trail riding, and then proceeded to the other roads (these UTVs are street-legal!) of the park area, some of which are gravel and would be more annoying in any other vehicle, but every minute of this adventure was a total BLAST! This is THE way to spend the day...

THE way to experience The Badlands! Daniel was so nice and helpful with the entire experience! He is quick to answer the call and help with directions at any point of the excursion!! He provides sunscreen, bug spray(use it early in the trip), and offers a cooler if needed. His expertise of the area provides great suggestions to see nature…..buffalo, prairie dogs, the best views! We rode a four seater and he has a device with an app for you to use as a gps with trails marked! It was super easy and reassuring out in the middle of new territory.
