We recently purchased a refrigerator and microwave from Tri-City Sales in Ipswich for our newly remodeled kitchen, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! From the moment we walked into the store, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We specifically worked with Charles Hurley, who patiently walked us through our options, offering valuable insights and steering us toward appliances that perfectly fit our needs and aesthetic. The fridge and microwave now look absolutely fantastic in our new kitchen. What truly sets Tri-City Sales apart, however, is their outstanding customer service. After installation, a different vendor accidentally dented a drawer on our new refrigerator. We contacted Tri-City Sales, and to our amazement, they replaced the damaged drawer for us at no cost. This level of care and commitment to their customers is truly remarkable and speaks volumes about their integrity. We are so impressed with Tri-City Sales – not just for their great selection and knowledgeable sales team, but for their exceptional post-purchase support. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for new appliances and a company that genuinely stands behind its products and customers.

I was shopping for all new appliances for a total kitchen overhaul and was given Cathy’s information as a contact. She was SO incredibly helpful! I didn’t have time to come in and she was able to assist me via email, checking specs for me and suggesting alternatives to appliances that would work better with my budget or my timeline if my original item was on backorder. I got everything in time for installation, she even recommended people to install who were wonderful as well, and when one of my appliances turned out to have an issue, she was able to get it taken care of within the week! I could not be more impressed with her service. I will recommend her to anyone looking for appliances.

I was not sure the washer dryer tower/stack would find in our laundry room. Cathy in sales worked with me extremely well. I have no previous purchases here, this was my first. I 100% would buy here again. Cathy’s overall attitude and wanting to get it right was awesome. No chance i would get that at Lowe’s Or any big time chain. She did a lot of problem solving to make sure this would fit through the door and under a vent as we needed. It’s in!! Just fit. Can’t wait to hook it up this week. Thanks so much for the extra effort!!

Janet....needs clinical help and is possibly the worst andost embittered appliance sales person ever! We called and inquired about Bosch hoods and we discussed that we were also looking for a Thermadore produce wooden drawer piece for the bottom of our shelves. We shared that we had decided not 🚫 to purchase our Bosch fridge from them for many reasons .They couldn't give us a date it would arrive, if it was going to be able to be on a truck from NYC , if they could buy it directly from the manufacturer they couldn't pin anything down and the one person who they needed to come into contact with ...was never around...a ghost! Against our decision, we went to State Street Discount bc they could provide accuracy. I tell Janet this on the phone to inquire about the brand options. She also knew the fridge story from my phone call. We shared we were going to be there at the store later today and what an awful and dreadful ball of negativity. So when we showed up at the store, after calling and sharing what we are interests were, Janet got up from her desk and on our way to the hood section... She literally started remarking on the fact that we did not purchase the fridge there and when I asked her why this was conversation, she said why should I bother getting up and spending time with you when you could buy it at State Street Discount...i shared she was being shaming and that I already stated my intentions. I told her bc we live close and grew up in Ipswich...I wanted to buy from them. That wasn't enough though...she continued to speak to us like she had FU written on her forehead! She was the worst sales experience I have ever encountered. Let me tell you why. Janet got up out of her chair to help me when I walked in... She got up because she sucks at sales and because she sucks at sales she needs to make money. She's desperate. Even though we had already discussed our intentions, she couldn't be nice. Perhaps don't give people a reason to shop elsewhere. She couldn't be kind and she lacked all professional skill sets. She was so inappropriate. It is not uncommon that people walk into stores today. Take a picture of the item with their phone and do a cost analysis business elsewhere. From a sales perspective then she needs to modernize get out of 1910s mindset for sales and come up to date and realize that if there are states that are nearby that you can go get tax free, are willing to communicate delivery dates with accuracy ,If there are reasons that people aren't buying from you, look inside. Janet, shame on you. You suck at sales and...

I'll summarize first, in case you don't want to read my experience. Bottom Line: Don't purchase from Tri City. Don't stand behind products and don't support customers.

I purchased thousands of dollars' worth of appliances at Tri City. The refrigerator has had issues from month one. It's still under warranty. Tri City does not have a service department, so I need to deal with Whirlpool (part of KitchenAid). After losing tons of food gone bad, multiple times, I called Tri City to ask for help and suggestions on what course of action I could take. I was quite distraught, since it hadn't even been a week after the last repair man was here. I was not helped. In fact I was told "We didn't make the refrigerator". I never thought they mad the product, since I'm smart enough to know an appliance store doesn't have a manufacturing plant for everything they sell. I called a different appliance dealer in Seabrook, NH (Appliance Warehouse). I needed some guidance and general information. I didn't even buy the refrigerator at this store in Seabrook , but I'll definitely buy my next one there. They gave me information on whirlpool and who to contact. Won't be visiting Tri City again...that's for sure. Don't need insult to injury. My freezer has been repaired more than 7 times in less than 3 years, and like a fool each time it was fixed, I believed it would work. It did...for only a short while. I'm out the expense of the appliance and seven times the loss of food in my freezer. The freezer only works if it's empty. And while Tri City is not responsible for the manufacturing of the appliance, I would think they would want to help a customer (now previous customer) in need. I referred several people to Tri City and they all bought products there. I wish I hadn't done that. I'll be sure to share my experience with...

Run from this place. The delivery people are beyond a nightmare and the owner not only does not stand behind his products, he does not service them and takes no responsibility once the sale has been made. My first appliance resulted in the delivery men blowing the electrical line to my stove and to my house. The town inspector had to get involved for us to get a new stove. The fridge I just bought was used as a hacky sac in the truck by the delivery men and although they were nice enough to bring the fridge in they could not be bothered to hook it up or even give me a receipt. You can do better basically anywhere else. I will be taking them to court and the filing fee is well worth it at this point as they do not call you back . I could go on but this worthless company is not worth it.

11/10/20 I just wanted to update my issue above. RUN FASTER from this place. I am now being harassed as the Tri City Truck passes my home they are sounding their airhorns which in the end represents not them but Tri City Sales. When I spoke to Tim the other owner and our salesman Janet after this occured, I got no more than a 'you deserved it for giving us a bad review'. So I guess the highlight of today was the air horns in the end. Anyway I would like to change my rating to a zero because a one is too good for this place. They do appear to stand by a company philosophy that the customer is always wrong.

12/1/20 update: filed claim with Attorney General.

12/17 update : filed small claims court, Newburyport...
