my personal score for these parks hovers around 3.25 to 3.75 depending on which trail you are on. being that turtle rock trail and preserve, trailhead, rock trail, sunset viewpoint, viewpoint and chaparral park are all interlink into the same trail network- turtle rock. The trail can be an easy 1 mile to over a 10 mile loop. most trails are hilly switchback trails. there are many steep uphill and downhill trails composed of loose rock to hard dirt trails. recommendation would be to walk , but always tempting to make it into a challenging workout. slippery, these trails can moderate in skill level for walkers to runners. most parking area are located in hilly neighborhoods. be safe by locking your stuff in the trunk, bring water and snacks. the views are great, after rains and during night-time. trail hours are usually 24/7 but the chaparral park are traditionally 6am to 8pm. missing? there are no water fountains, no bathrooms and usually no parking lots. trails are nade for walks Joggers runners hikers some bike no ebike and one can be physically challenged. the positive would be that it is quiet quaint and adventurous. again, not the most remote area , nor the most spectacular. it is a trail system nested in a upscale neighborhood, a system that isn't easy, but can be challenging. in addition, the views are fantastic, the endless miles of trails can be pleasant for an outdoor routine that can last a...
