Pooja: We did Rudrabhishekam and Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham at our home. It was an extraordinary experience performing the abhishekam at home. Sharma ji performed the pooja with dedication and patience. We have done Satyanarayana pooja in past with different priests but always felt that it's not as good as it's done back home in India. Sharma ji took the rudrabhishekam and vratham to whole different level, it was a great experience, we felt blessed after the pooja.

Marthanda Sharma ji: Very professional, and maha gyani, simply a walking vedic encyclopedia. We could literally feel the vibrations from the his chanting of mantras. Sharma ji has this niche in explaining why we are doing the pooja, the purpose and the result. We received a detailed list for pooja items and a document with tips to prepare for pooja which was very helpful. Sharma ji has this robust setup for performing abhishekam which made the whole rudrabhishekam a seamless ritual. Sharma ji took his time in performing vratha katha by narrating the stories with much details and interpretation and how we could apply the learnings in real life.

We would definitely recommend Marthanda Sharma ji for any poojas.

Sadly I must write this review. It is all about the money here, so be aware. The pundit and temple charges $251 to “consult” and requested a reduced fee of $151 to talk to you about his availability or lack thereof. Pandit Sharma spoke with me for 15 mins and we exchanged texts about his availability and for this time, he/temple charged $151. This is an absurd amount to ask. He never provided any program, list or any information of value, except to say he is not available for more than an hour on the day of the event. He had a prior engagement and would be available no more than an hour max and he informed me of this during our 15 min call. And when I wrote back saying this may not work because of possible unforeseen delay, he asked for $151 for the privilege of speaking with him and exchanging texts - all of which was about trying to set up a time for us to talk. I paid the fee, but wanted to make others aware in case you are from out of state and looking for a pundit in the Long Beach, Newport beach area.
