Probably our favorite beach on the island, though it is tough to pick a favorite. We visited twice, first on a Saturday and again on the following Thursday. On Saturday, we set up at site #5 and had the beach almost entirely to ourselves, except for a few small crabs that started in and out of their holes. Read moreNice clear water and very private beach, it’s labeled by numbers so you park at a number and that’s kind of your part of the beach (you can share with someone else). The downside is the beach has seaweed and rocks and not very kid friendly. Entering the water there are rocks so it’s painful but once you’re in the water is nice. To reach the beach you have to enter the wildlife refuge and the road is unpaved so make sure to have a good rental Jeep, else...
