Lovely hike, just a short ways from Seattle / Bellevue! It's not the most impressive in terms of sights, but I enjoy that it's quite easy / flat, shaded, forest-y, and cool. It's really great for family hikes, or hiking for people who want to experience nature without exerting too much physical energy. Saw many dogs. When we went on a Saturday morning in June 2022, it wasn't too crowded or busy, though by the time we left in the afternoon, the parking lot was full.
I love the feeling of walking through a forest. Most of time, it was fairly quiet. We hiked along the Red Town Trail loop (see AllTrails for full route). Coal Creek Falls is a small waterfall, and nice stopping point - you can rest there and eat some snacks, before heading back to the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHuge place with many adjoining trails in one area. Can get lost. The coal creek falls are supposed to be in this area but I nor many others were there looking for the falls with no luck. I couldnāt find any creeks or streams either which would have been nice for cooling off . Plenty of parking. Port o pod died no real restrooms. Lots of continuous...

Red town was just the right amount of everything! Greenery, and easy to walk. It also leads you to the Primrose Loop which is SUPER serene!!! The creek is covered by low hanging branches and the water cools off the area quite a bit. . . Just...
