Jackson City Park is very well maintained and has plenty of space to roam around. Several pavilions available in all different locations. 5 different baseball/softball/teeball fields. A swimming pool that is nice w 2 low dive spring boards and a high dive platform as well. Jackson has outgrown this pool though. Especially since the waterslide is long gone. Plenty of walking trails run all through the park and will even carry you outside of the park where you can walk at a normal pace without threat of breaking the in park speed limit. Nice lake to walk around that is stocked with trout if you happen to be one of those that likes to fish at 5am in late winter. I don't get it but hey, ya'll enjoy.Take the wee ones up to safety city where they are sure to smack at least 3 or 4 street signs with their bike before you can get outta there. The 4th of July celebration in the City Park is always the best anywhere around by a longshot. Helicopter rides, Uge azz car show that bring out the best, food, free diapers and changing station (thank you Uncle Procter), pony rides, blacksmithing, mud volleyball and Beer! The last two have recently been brought back due to a previous lapse in judgement by fine folks who choose to ignore history and the desires of free men. The City park is frequented by myself and my children year round. Don't speed through the park, pick up after yourself, don't be a jerk face and stay away from the wanna be redneck high school kids and the "adults" who can't let the high school daze go, they usually congregate in one small spot. Theory is only one of em knows how to get back out of the park so they have to hold in tight formation. Park=Good Stuff and free, if ya...

There are also picnic tables, benches, pavilions, tennis courts, a rock garden, a basketball court, a skate park, trash cans, & a beautiful creek with a bridge. Very very impressed...
Read moreThe Jackson park has beautiful scenery and is a wonderful place to bring your kids to have fun. There is a basket ball court up the hill with a pavilion close by and bathrooms with a water fountain. Behind the pavilion is a playground with swings, tables, a play ground and a sand pit. It was once a shallow pool for baby's. Then behind that you have the rock garden where they play live rock music a few times a year. Back in the day it use to be a drive in movie theater. Then a little further down is a few softball fields some tennis courts, and then by the pond is...
