A Nostalgic Trip I Didn’t Know I Needed
So let me tell you—when I first heard about Rusty’s TV Car Museum, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m a city girl through and through, used to skyscrapers, subways, and corner stores, not small-town car collections. But baby, this place? A whole vibe.
Walking in, I was hit with a wave of nostalgia that felt like Saturday mornings in the ’90s mixed with old BET movies playing in the background while your auntie did your hair. Rusty’s got everything from the iconic lowrider from Training Day (yes, the one Denzel was riding dirty in), to the crazy car from Norbit—and I swear, I almost screamed when I saw it in person. That movie might be a mess, but it’s our mess.
And y’all… they even had THE Pee-wee Herman bike! Like, the real one! I haven’t thought about that movie in years, but seeing it brought back all the childhood chaos and joy. I felt like a kid again, sitting cross-legged on the living room floor with a Capri Sun in one hand and my cousin stealing my fruit snacks.
And if that wasn’t enough? They had stuff from Talladega Nights! Ricky Bobby’s underwear and a few other cool pieces. “If you ain’t first, you’re last!” Listen, I’ve never cared about NASCAR in my life, but that movie made me wanna throw on a race suit and talk trash. It was giving Southern comedy gold.
The place is small but packed with personality. The Velvet (staff) was a Cool dude. You can tell he loves this stuff and put real love into understanding the collection. If you’re a movie head or just want to feel like you’re flipping through your childhood TV memories, this spot is definitely worth the visit.
10/10 would recommend, even if you don’t think you’re into cars—because trust me, you’re...
Read moreWhen we decided on Jackson, TN for a quick getaway, we looked for things to do there - expected to find some local pride museum or attractions, had no idea that such a pop culture and world wide location would be there. It is not large and fancy but neither is the cost. It is a good variety of vehicles sure to bring up some memories of watching the show or movie it represents. Not all of them are screen used but the average person wouldn't no the difference except maybe for those in cartoons lol. You can take your time, take all the photos and pose by your favorites, take time to share your memories with those with you. It is a good break for a longer road trip, also a good reason to visit Jackson. There are other places similar you might find in larger tourist locations but doubt they will make you feel so welcome and like they were waiting just for you to arrive. Lots of TV legends and favorite movies...

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.
