Beautiful Saturday. Aerial photo looks likes thereās non soccer field space like in the woods to explore. There isnāt. This is only one thing, a money maker for Florida Elite.
My question is this, do they fully pay for maintaining it then, or as a city park, are our taxes subsidizing this business?
Furthermore, this is everything that is wrong about USA monetized soccer. Thereās no kids outs here. Gorgeous day. They should allll be out kicking the ball in 60 degree sunny florida but if their parents didnāt pay for it I guess itās Warzone time.
Is this what āprimary useā means? Would Earl Johnson be happy with this? I doubt it, people usually want kids to access their memorials for free.
Maybe rename it Florida Elite park?
Proposal, Florida Elite designates one field or space that they leave open for the community, and they maintain it as a way of giving back. Do this at Veterans too, zero open fields or goals for...

You'll arrive at two ponds, a bumpy dirt road wrapping around one, with the other surrounded by a network of forest trails. A great spot for relaxing, sketching/painting, elevating, or even making new friends, as there is never a shortage of friendly visitors all rear 'round. Busiest after lunch to about dinnertime, although I've encountered people before sunrise, and after midnight. Worth the visit if you've never been. No playground. Picnic area under renovation. Cleanish restrooms in the main park's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to come here with my Father. He lived in Lakewood, about one mile away. We would talk and laugh. Then, when I had two boys, I took them here to fish. One time, my son dropped his beloved hat in the lake. I stepped down in the lake, thinking it was shallow by the edge, but NOT. It was very deep and I fell in. I did manage to save the hat and get out of the lake. They have gazebos, places to grill, & picnic tables. I still go there from time to time to reminiscence old times. Both of my sons live in Louisiana now. I do recommend this place, but with caution. They have had some troubles out here from...
