I give this 5 stars because i like this park a lot, it's bizarre to have something feel this secluded right near downtown and I'm grateful for it. However, it is in serious need of maintenance. Fishermen and homeless ppl throw trash all up and down the trail: bottles, wrappers, condoms. It's absolutely disgusting and hugely disrespectful on their part. The trail is tiny and opens up onto a maintenance corridor instead of looping back around. I also feel like the space between the soccer fields and the big pond could use some trees, it's just a dead space. If you come here and act ungratefully towards nature and the land that the county has set aside for public use, shame on you. Come here to appreciate the land.

Part of why I love this place so much is the local urban legends I've heard about it. In terms of a park, it's decently sized with a big open pond for fishing, and another slightly polluted smaller pond tucked in the front, surrounded by woods. The path is very unkempt and bumpy, so make sure your car has decent suspension or you might bump your head. The only concerns I have are the safety of this park. I have no clue if the FWC enforces anything, and I've seen my fair share of sketchy people around the park.

The smaller pond is pretty good for bluegill, but I have literally caught nothing else in either pond except for maybe three or four bluegill. The overgrowth of vegetation definitely needs to be maintained. You can see in all of the branches and weeds where people have gotten hung up and lost their lure While casting or reeling in. I believe there is probably some really good opportunities to catch some great fish, but I guarantee you they are all hanging out underneath all that vegetation. You can’t even really get to the bank in most places I have tried and tried to fish here and I am done after today. Matter of fact, I did catch one thing today and alligator as I was reeling in my line. It chased down my lure and gulp it up, and then I had to drag it up onto the shore and thank God it popped out of his mouth, but that scared the crap out of me. Also, restrooms would be...

I used to come here regularly about 10 years ago when I lived in the area. My son wanted to go fishing so I decided to take him here as this used to be such a great spot just to unwind and catch some fish. The large pond is so overgrown now you can hardly throw a line out. The little pond is just trashed, it’s such a shame to see this place so neglected now. Before you would see fish all over the place but now only a few. I highly doubt they actually stock it anymore and the feeders I don’t think work just by looking at them. I used to have a great time here fishing here and thought I’d be able to recreate that with my son but we left after about an hour of not being able to find a spot from the bank to fish. FWC and whoever is in control of maintaining this park should be ashamed...
