There were lots of people there it's a covered park, so that if it's raining you can still enjoy your meal, that you bring with you and stay out of the sun if it's really hot. There's also swings and and area for children to play go up and down slide, well we were there it looked like they were making their own games and going after each other and pretending they were flying it was just unique none of the children knew each other but they enjoyed their time with each other it was pretty cool. There are adults that were playing soccer along with the kids. We happen to be there for a birthday party for a young lady that is very sweet and she wanted more than anything to just be outside and play whether it was in the rain or not. And she got to play soccer with some adults and children which was a bonus also she got some presents which she wasn't expecting to get until she got home. I had never been there and it's just a concrete covered area with benches and tables but it makes for a unique place because it has multiple covered areas that are separated for you too either be under one area or you to be private if you want to be and it also appears out of the way but it isn't that far out of the way you don't hear traffic or anything like that no we didn't go anywhere past the covered tables in the area for the kids so I don't know what else is there but hopefully you come and you'll enjoy it like we did but bring your own food and throw away your trash and it will be enjoyable for the next people to...
Read moreI haven't been to this park in awhile and they've done renovations to the playground area. The place has always been clean and well maintained. There are no issues there, BUT this past Sunday on June 1st as I was watching my kids play in the playground area a garbage truck pulled up that I didn't notice. Now mind you this is in the afternoon around 1 p.m. and I believe there was a baseball game going on as it was very crowded and barely any parking. I started to smell what we all know garbage trucks smell like and I turned to see the truck parked directly in front of the playground area. Everything stopped! Kids stopped playing, people stopped grilling, and we all simultaneously covered our noses like wtf! What a terrible smell that made me nauseous and I had to leave with my kids. I understand everyone has a job to do, but in the middle of the afternoon in a crowded park where people are eating is just unacceptable. The driver who got out to get the trash was really not in a hurry and was walking slowly. I'm thinking, Sir put some pep in your step and get outta here please! After about 10 mins I really couldn't take it anymore and we left. I know some people are going to say well garbage trucks smell like what you do everyday and I say to those people I do not smell like that and if you do then something is really wrong inside. You need to reevaluate what you are eating not to mention most people do not eat while using...
Read moreOpen athletic fields with a good amount of activity. It appeared that people were working with small groups of individuals and there were also some organized sports teams sharing the field (adults, young adults, and children). The playgrounds could use some maintenance as far as wiping down the equipment (Florida mildew and grime comes with the outdoors unless you are vigilant) but I have seen worse. The area designed for smaller children could use a little more equipment but it does suffice for a toddler. The area for school-aged children has more equipment and is more fun for toddlers but adults may have to navigate the little ones through it and in the evening there are too many school-aged children to do that without disrupting everybody's fun. The biggest let down is the limited walking path with asphalt (much better for the knees) and the rest being concrete. A current addition is being made to the park which will give tennis enthusiasts a place to play. I am not sure of the completion date. Restrooms are on the premises but probably not much better than port-a-potty condition (hold your nose and check for toilet paper before you...
