Hodges Stadium is a great stadium and currently the home of the Armada. Pretty much no matter where you park the walk from the car isn't to terrible which was great. If the main parking overfills they have shuttles that will run you to the stadium. When we went the parking was free but may not always be free for every event I know that UNF does charge a daily parking fee if you do not have a pass. The entrance is below the stands. And with lots of doors they managed to move everyone in very quickly! Be sure to check the banned items lists, yes umbrellas were a banned item. While the walk to the car isn't terribly bad you really don't want to be rushing back to the car during the national anthem. They had a couple of concession stands which even with long lines moved very quickly and were very reasonably priced and they had a separate line for the beer which was a great surprise. The seats provided excellent vieas no matter where you sat. They were just cement slabs. So if you have somethings cushy for your fishy I'd suggest bringing it. Especially if you are going to be there for a while. Good thing is when you leave traffic moves out very quickly and in a...
Read moreThe stadium is very nice and can accommodate any of your needs either as a competitor or as a fan! The seating in the stands are nice and comfortable, but if you need more cush for ya' butt, then bring a pillow🤣🤣❣️It's very clean!👍🏽 If there is an event you'd like to attend and it's at the stadium, I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO VISIT THIS PLACE👍🏽! The Armada play ⚽️ there! I was there on June 22, 2023 to watch my 8 yr old grandson compete in the boys 1500 track and he came in 2nd place for the silver 🥈 medal! 🏃🏾♂️🎉 His personal record of 6 minutes 5 seconds 😁❣️ I cannot post his photos due to his age, but I had a BLAST 💃🏽👍🏽❣️ There is always a vendor selling the pineapple 🍍 coconut 🥥 creme drinks in the pineapple 🍍 shell or in a cup 🥤 and they are well worth the price, he also gives you a free refill ticket to come back for more😁 And it seems that all of the grandparents born before 1958, are all given either FREE entry, or a BIG...
Read moreWe attended a Jacksonville Armanda soccer game on an evening in early July 2017. I had been to the facility previously for events such a a track meet and a rugby game. The facility has typical concrete construction, on only the west side, with metal bench seating, which oddly enough, did not have seat numbers. Our ticket had a seat number on it so we just had to guess where our actual seat was. Also, the in the entryway area, I only saw paper posted signs for the sections. I expected to see something more permanent.
The bathrooms were clean and well stocked, and the Armada arranged for tables to be brought in for concessions: typical snacks, soft drinks and beer. Parking is all off to the north side, so you have a bit of a walk.
All in all, a decent facility for a variety of events. Worth mentioning is the world class track. I have heard in the past that the surface is the same as the track installed for the...
