It was ok. The Building is beuatiful and the grounds are nice to. Also it is located near the hundred acre lot and an area of local folk lore called uncle Bob's. The whole area contains miles of trail that take you into falconer park and there are a couple swimming holes along the way. As for the rtpi. It didn't seem like there was much to do or learn. Also I could do with out seeing all the dead birds. And paintings of dead birds( what the heck is that all about). I don't pretend to be into the bird watching thing and I know ftp is world renound, so if it's your cup of English breakfast tea it's...

We came here after the building was closed, just to try the walking trails. We were visiting from Virginia on the weekend before the big solar eclipse. The trails were fair. We did not encounter much in the way of birds. The trails were a bit muddy, so we stuck to one or two main pathways. One trail ended abruptly on a local street so we turned back. We ended up walking part of the way back on Curtis St to avoid some of the mud. Overall we would not recommend coming here just for the hiking. Will have to come back and check out the museum and maybe see if there are...

Spectacular building, but it needs much more of Peterson's works, as there are just a few there. Before visiting, I recommend reading about Peterson' life in Wikipedia, which unfortunately has more information about him than was on display at the museum. The works of a famous artist (who's topic was the life of Theodore Roosevelt) on temporary display was the best part of my one hour visit (including the time in the exceptional gift shop with many good nature...

I’m really glad I came here and got to see how his system of identifying birds makes it easier to identify them. The Peterson Guides are all available on Kindle so all need is my phone. The art is well worth your visit and I found a local artist from Estero, Florida. The creative use of natural materials is inspirational. The nature trail is amazing and a work in progress. I enjoyed the trail and the carvings to watch for makes it fun for kids and adults.

What a great evening. I went to the opening of the latest exhibit, "Hope is the thing with feathers". What a magnificent collection of art. We are so fortunate to have this facility in our backyard. The staff at RTPI are friendly, talented, and very knowledgeable. If you haven't been there in a while do your self a favor and go check it out. Bring the whole family, you won't be disappointed. Thanks again RTPI for a fun evening.
