This place is awesome. They did a great job with the remodel, and the menu is fantastic. Lots of places call themselves Irish simply because it's a pub, but this is the real deal. We had Leprechaun Balls, the Beet Salad, and a Reuben.
Hands down best reuben in western NY. It's not even close. Everything about it was superior.
The Leprechaun balls were great, they're croquettes filled with Irish fixins served with whisky lemon aioli. The freshness and acidity of the lemon aioli was a very nice pairing to the savory balls. The Beet Salad was also great. They were fresh out of the lemon curd dressing so our waitress recommended the whisky vinaigrette and it was awesome. The only thing I'd have to say is that I'd recommend trying to get low moisture potatoes and soaking them in water after slicing the fresh cut chips to get rid of the blackish brown color. But they tasted great, and I do like dark chips. So honestly who cares.
They also had a couple red ales which was great. It's one of my favorite styles but no place in the area seems to carry them. My wife had a cocktail that she really enjoyed.
Anyways, awesome place, 10/10, can't wait to go back and try more. Some items may seem pricy for a pub but the care put into them is well...
Read moreThis is one of my all time favorite places for Irish food, st paddy's day, and football on Sundays. They did an amazing remodle inside. It's a great authentic Irish pub. Very clean and friendly! They're also 21 and up only Thank God! The owners and staff are all wonderful people. Amazing bartenders, mixed drinks, Irish whisky selection, selection of other alcohol, and Irish beers on tap. I highly recommend the food! A list of things I can't say enough good things about are: homemade Irish Guinness stew with puff pastry, upside down Guinness stew on potatoes, steak dinner, Irish Ruben, battle of the buldge burger, potato wedges, black and bleu medium wings, lobster Ruben, chicken fingers, and their imported bangers and mash. Their prices are on the higher side, but it's worth every penny because it's all either imported or house made. Everything is absolutely delicious. They genuinely make everything in house so it can be a little wait on food, but once again, this isn't fast food, it's absolutely amazing and worth the wait. Cash only with an atm inside with only a $2...
Read moreWhat a wonderful place. We had one night in Jamestown and went to a different restaurant. I knew as soon as we were seated we wouldn't like the restaurant we were in. I told the waitress I needed a MicroBrewery, a Tap Room or an Irish Pub. She steered us to 2 Gingers. I glad I left her a $5.00 tip even though we didn't eat or drink in her restaurant/bar. 2 Gingers is one of the best Irish Pubs I have ever visited. I'm Irish, I live in Chicago and I'm 77 years old so I've been in a crap load of Irish Pubs. 2 Gingers food was fantastic and of course the Guinness was poured perfect. Two guys that obviously had something to do with this place were very attentive and occasionally would check on us and see if we were satisfied with everything. I totally LOVED THIS PLACE. I wish it wasn't a 1000 miles from my home. NOTE: This place is small and...
