Parque Familiar Adrián Padua Sánchez — Attraction in Jayuya

Definitely a great place to take the kids out. It is not 5 stars because: The Museum is very pretty but you need a guide to enter for some reason and they take you very fast unable to really enjoy the Museum. I recommend either cameras or 2 stationary people for supervision and let the people enter on their own and stay whenever they like. Trust me it is better that way. Also the mini shop at the end was so empty it was sad. On the Dinasour golf, the areas where they were water it was disgusting the water looks like it hasn't been changed and some of the golf balls went there due to bad designing. But at least the dinosaurs were pretty realistic and nice to look, I thought the children were able to touch them but no, just look which wasn't fun even though the dinasours are made of hard plastic. The WaterPark was amazing but they were two water sprinkles that weren't working at all, kinda sad about that. Bathrooms, the were not cleaned properly and of course the floors were wet and dirty and you can slip. It is way smaller than I expected for a 2 hour ride with little to no shade. They need more trees.

If you are coming from San Juan or other place not in the center of the island, be warned: it will be a long and winding road, like the old song goes. You will have to park outside on the street, so looking for parking space might be a nuisance. Be mindful of oncoming traffic. If you have kids and they love water, they will be in paradise. El Parque muy bueno para los niños. Tiene tres atracciones: mini golf de dinosaurios, chorritos, museo y cine 4D en el cual pasan un cortometraje muy divertido. Los niños la pasarán muy bien.

Tengo varias observaciones:

La logística del estacionamiento es un lío. Tienen alrededor de 8 estacionamientos adentro y dos de impedidos que NO USAN!!! Entonces, hay que estacionarse en la calle bloqueando la acera, frente a una gasolinera o frente a una gallera. Si usaran esos espacios de adentro, afuera hubiera menos rebolú.

Tienen que entrenar mejor al personal que da el recorrido del museo de animales salvajes del Ártico, Antártica, África y animales de granja. Comparto datos incompletos o incorrectos que dijo la guía que tuvimos hoy:

A. “Los osos polares tienen el pelo negro.” Debió decir que tienen la piel negra y el pelo transparente que refleja el color de la nieve.

B. Hay unas figuras del dragón de komodo y el monstruo de Gila en tamaño agrandado. Le dijo a los niños que el monstruo de Gila era un dragón de Komodo joven. 🤷🏻‍♀️

C. Por último, en el área de los felinos no hay un león. Le dijo a los niños que el león no estaba porque se fue a cazar. Los leones no cazan, en la manada, son las leonas que salen a cazar. Los leones tienen la función de proteger la manada.
