La Bodega de las Brujas — Restaurant in Jayuya

I passed this several times during my stay in Jayuya and didn’t immediately notice it but it’s a hidden gem. The decor is so cute and I love all the details. There’s a small gift shop with boutique clothes, witch t shirts, jewelry and incense. There’s a covered area outside with toys for kids to play and there’s a swing.

Chicken empanadas were a little empty but they were only $6 and the dough and chicken were very tasty. Mojito parcha was good. Bruja Azul was ok- tasty but not that strong.

Kankan was seasoned well and tasted amazing with the rice and beans. I loved the beans they had sweet potato in them. The tostones were nice and thin and perfectly cooked. My partner enjoyed his chicken sandwich.

Service was great. Our waiter was very sweet and patient.

Great location and great views as well. It does get packed, and the atmosphere is great. Reason im doing 3 stars is because they literally took around 45 minutes to get my order out, it was a simple hamburger; i know they are busy but that is not a reason for an order to take almost an hour. I also think that this place is a bit overpriced; i think they offer farm to table, but honestly the food quality is not all there, food is ok. Warning....a small cup of passion fruit juice will cost you 5 dollars!, i got this for my kids and it was more expensive than my beer...weird. Staff was helpful and service was good, they just need to coordinate among each other a bit more. Food is pretty decenas, Service is Horrible !Came with family for lunch party of 10 on a Sunday afternoon. One of our family members on the party ordered Camarones al Ajillo with maduro, everyone got their food except for the Camarones, when asked for the plate they said they were out, waitress came out arguing that nobody ordered camarones. That has yet to be the worse attitude I’ve seen from a waitstaff ever, never apologised, better yet raised her voice and said “ I write everything that gets ordered and y’all did not order any camarones, only 5 of us heard the order of camarones except the waitress. We were probably expecting an apology or just sorry but I probably missed the order or something to that effect. One thing for sure never...
