Was there today (20June25) for their "High Tea" cruise - my first ever cruise with them and, their first "High Tea" cruise. While the cruise itself was kind of ok, their "High Tea" was quite disappointing, to say the least! Their selection of teas although limited, was good, but served in paper cups ..ok I can sort of handle that as it is a cruise..ok..I get it...(well, sort of..) But what was most disappointing was, here as a pretty regular "High Tea" fan, I was expecting the usual - different kinds of finger sandwiches, scones, pastries, and most especially clotted cream, HOWEVER, they only served us: 1) chicken and tuna sandwiches on a small sweet bun (ok I only had the tuna sandwich - I must admit that it was quite tasty) 2) 2 tiny cups cakes 3) cole slaw and macaroni salad - I only had the cole slaw - it was pretty good).....! My friends were also quite disappointed, and also one of the ladies on another table said pretty much the same thing......
Anyway, one of my friends had this brilliant idea, since we were all quite disappointed...she called the Hopatcong diner while we were still on the cruise - the guy there made us a fresh batch of blueberry and apple scones (man, they were HUGE and sooo yummy !) in about 1.5 hours, which we were so grateful for...and of course we stopped by right after the cruise n just devoured them!
I hope the cruise line either provides at least some scones and different types of finger sandwiches on such a cruise or, instead of calling it "High Tea," calls it something else, like "Tea & Sandwiches" ... something like that .... otherwise they will be disappointing a whole lot of people...

Read moreWhere do I start? OK! Came here for a wedding cruise for my cousin over the weekend. Started off pretty good. I went to the bar to order a Moscow Mule and they explained to me that they don’t have the ingredients to make one of the most popular drinks on the lake at the moment so I opted for a Long Island iced tea. The woman behind the bar handed me what a normal person would call poison. I figured maybe I was being unreasonable so I had my friend and his wife taste it and both said it was un-consumable. At that part I felt like I was on a Christan cruise because I was stuck staying sober since the bar was a hack. A short while later dinner came around and that was mediocre at best. Hey at least the cake was good! That’s because it was supplied by the bride and groom.... makes sense. Only issue is that during desert the toilet backed up and the boat stunk like sewage. It was so bad that one poor individual had to jump off the deck to escape the stench. He had to jump in clothes and all because his stomach couldn’t handle it. Afterwards they treated him like a criminal. All in all I wish I had 2 more hands so I can give them 4...
