Old World Service, Personal Care, and Commitment to their Clients.
David, in sales, went far and beyond to assist us in finding the right boat, then was ALWAYS available post-purchase to ensure our being comfortable with the boat and the MarineMax complex. This paid off in spades, as recently, boating with my son, the engine sucked up some seaweed, choking the engine and stranding us on the lake at 7:30 pm. However, with MarineMax, we weren't stranded. David called Rich and Kenny, who were working late. Without hesitation, Rich and Kenny came directly out to our rescue. They arrived happy to help, and with confidence and competency, they did just that.
I had already made other calls to no avail, so I was truly abandoned and felt it. The crew at MarineMax Lake Hopatcong put our needs ahead of their own. They treated us as their most important concern every step and far beyond.
David, Rich and Kenny: It is with immense gratitude that I applaud your work ethics and personal commitment, and thank you...

First season on the lake with the new boat, last summer, and we had some minor issues. Unfortunately we found the service dept very challenging to work with. Communication and follow thru is a short coming for them. Had an issue with a tune at the end of the season, which was to be repaired over the winter, and again communication and follow thru were a major issue. They had our boat all winter and it went unrepaired until April and it required a ton of effort on our part to get them to get it done. After a ton of back and forth, us chasing and harassing them and it getting escalated up the repairs were finally completed and our boat was finally returned to us.
The service dept leaves a lot to be desired but the sales dept is top notch. My suggestion is to go into working with Marine Max Lake Hopatcong with your eyes open and your...

The swimming area is long gone, replaced by additional docks which makes financial sense but it was a bit sad to see. A line of trees with picnic tables remain but when we were there there wasn't a soul around, a far cry from earlier days when the place was filled with families every day of the week during the peak summer season. That said Marine Max has added a large boat storage building and the docks appear to be very well maintained. It's worth mentioning heir location at the back of a small cove in a 5 mph zone significantly reduces the likelihood of your boat being damaged...
