Merinos Rugs — Attraction in Jefferson

I was at Merinos home furnishings today 3/25/16 with my elderly parents which were in need of a dining room set. They found the one they wanted with the help of Mercedes which is so wonderful and the other Latin gentleman (sorry I don't remember your name) which is also wonderful. The price of the set was $1,699.00. As we approached the front desk to pay we were informed that the price on the computer was $1,200.00 more, I insisted that according to the law we were intitile to pay the lowest price. So Mercedes went to the office to get the manager which later on I found out he wasn't a manager and the person that was suppose to change the price was his son and didn't do it. Well he did not introduce himself and asked me what do you vant he had a foreign acent. He had such an attitude from the beginning and clearly told me he was not selling the furniture for what it said and he was going to change the price and if I wanted to buy it for the correct price take it if not the too bad. He also said he never heard of such a law and he has been in the business for 15 years. At this point he was talking in a very loud voice & was disrespectful and doesn't know how to treat a lady. My mom was very frightening and her pressure went up. Mind you not even 2 weeks ago I spent $10,000.00 on furniture here. I told him I will never come back here again he said ok so go, this man has no respect for women nor where he works. The other employees were embarrassed I can tell. PLEASE BEWARE OF SHOPPING...

For some reason I had never been in, just to browse. Last week I had made a couple of changes to my 13 year old sons' room by means of shopping online. In the end the window treatments and rug I thought could stay, but it was the wrong blue. As I entered Merinos Furniture and Carpet Inc. I wanted to kick myself for never shopping there before. The kind lady, who assisted me with the rug purchase for Drew's room, was the most helpful person, not at all pushy, or rushed. After I looked at every rug and every chair I was more excited than I've ever been about my shopping experience!! Even better when I got home and laid the rug I was even more happier with my purchase at Merinos Furniture and Carpet Inc... Manager didn’t greet when arrived, stayed on his phone the entire time.Found a rug on a rack that was labeled $10.00 assorted rugs. Found a runner on the rack. When clarifying that it was $10.00. He said “no” it’s $59.99. I said the sign said assorted rugs $10.00. He said someone put it in the wrong place, the rugs hanging on the wall are $10.00. I said the sign needs to be on the wall with them instead of the $59.00 rugs. That’s false advertisement. He got hostile and rude. Needles to say. I left without a rug. Will never go back...
